Something tells me that "Getting the Band Back Together" will be this season's "In Transit" and will refuse to close.

I used to doubt Anastasia's ability to pull through the winter time but now it their grosses are pretty steady. Do we really see it lasting through summer of 2019 (their current ticket block)?

yeah that's true. If the theater chooses to sell those seats via TKTS, then they'd be 50% off. Box office normally changes the premium price to regular non-premium prices on the day of the show or closer to showtime.

That's exactly what I expect to happen.

Except that show's lead producers had enormous personal wealth to keep it going for 4 months after opening + no shows were waiting in the wings at Circle in the Square. I'm sure the Shuberts have something on their waiting list that's eying the Belasco for the spring. (Though 4 months would put GTBBT at December...so if it can make it to Veteran's Day, I'm sure it will stick around til after New Years.)

I think it has a decent chance of surviving until Labor Day of 2019. Especially with shows like Bronx Tale and School of Rock closing, it seems like it's going to become one of those default, pleasant tourist shows that people see because it's not too hard to get tickets to but it's also something a large segment of audiences will probably enjoy. If Kinky Boots and/or Waitress close in the new year, I think Anastasia might siphon some of those audiences too.

FROZEN could affect ANASTASIA too. Anastasia could be a great backup if people can't get tickets to to Frozen. But if Frozen's sales soften and there's a lot of week-of/day-of availability, that could hurt Anastasia.

there have to be some closings announcing soon other wise this fall is going to be brutal.
the summer should see the shows best numbers. And if a lot of shows are hovering around OP costs now i cannot believe some producers are going to try and make it through the fall. They better have a huge reserve,
