Jay got this head on.  Erik if this is a sample of the support Bernie would have in 2020 we're in trouble and maybe shouldn't bother.

This forum is certainly not representative of Bernie support - almost no one here supported Bernie in 2016.

"It’s the fractured quality in [Bernadette Peters'] singing voice and line readings that puts across the character as someone for whom resentment is sliding into madness." - NYtimes on Follies (2011).

You're not from here.  You don't get the aversion to the word Socialism the dumb nuts of this country have.  Joe Biden would win.

Wouldn't doubt some members in here were sucked in by Bernie Babies...  Hmm.  Oh, so those were Russian bots?  No way PJ.

If Sanders had been the nominee and lost to Trump (which may or may not have happened, we will never know), you can bet that millions would be smugly arguing that if only we had had the good sense to have nominated Clinton instead of Sanders, Clinton would have surely beaten Trump (which, as it happens, we know for a fact is not at all a persuasive premise - because she was the nominee and Trump won... but does anyone believe that if Sanders had been nominated and lost the election, it wouldn't be a widely, bitterly and smugly held belief that Clinton would have clearly won had she rather than Sanders been nominated?).

American politics.  It's insane.

The same people I grew up with and looked at me incredulously when I said I was for Clinton, give me the same look when I tell them that I'm a socialist.  Of course many of us want Bernie, and thought he was the better candidate for 2016, like Henri says we'll never know.  Maybe we need a different candidate.  I don't think we'll be running against Trump.
