SPONGEBOB Rush and Lottery |
Last Saturday (1/20), I stopped by the box office at 1:30ish to see if they had rush tickets for the evening performance. At that time, people were entering the theater for the matinee and the box office almost sold me a rush seat for that matinee. I was able to get two balcony seats for the evening performance.
So basically what I'm saying is that there were rush seats right before the show started
I won the lottery today. Got ORCH D105, a few seats off the center aisle!
Amazing to see everything up close. There's crowd interaction and smaller jokes that I didn't get from previous visits. Also saw the details of Ethan Slater and Gavin Lee's performances from that view. They're giving everything at every moment. I still can't believe Slater's pulling off such a physical, demanding performance each night. (Stage-doorers: he's on vocal rest but still graciously signed. Be kind!)
Lots of empty seats tonight - please see the show if you can.
Has anyone tried rushing in person lately? It seems that the show hasnt been selling out that often. So curious how close people have been able to get rush tickets to curtain time.

I got tickets an hour before the show, when I got in line, these 2 people cut in line in front of me, then I realized they were Ja-lin (sp?) and Stephanie Hsu, so I was pleased to let them do it
anyway we don't live in the city so we got $75 rush tickets that were center 8th row, perfect seats, except ethan slater was out that night
Hoping to rush this Saturday. $75 seems a lot for rush but would be willing to pay it rather than sit up in the balcony. I've seen some people say they got front mezz from rush so wondering how it's been recently. The seating map looks wide open!
Hi, I forgot to report back after rushing last week (Sat 21st April). We got to box office at around 11am, and we were offered:
Orchestra:$75, Mezz $50, Balcony $30.
We took Mezz, which were row D centre. great seats.
Hey All, Just an FYI, just GO! We've been twice with regular purchase and rushed and still got orch seats! Further back is great (especially for the finale) but being close you really do appreciate and LUV! what the cast is doing! Ethan is so good and so funny, (right down to the little wave of his hands and fingers as he swims across the stage); Gavin too, is great. These two guys better win the Tonys! Go and sit anywhere! You will have a (beach)ball!
DH won the lotto on Tuesday and got row N in the Orchestra far right, two in from aisle. Great views he said. Zero obstruction.
Which do you think willhave the best seats on TDF and do any actors traditionally and/or frequently take Sunday nights off?
