Oh my goodness! At first I thought this was for the Broadway production and thought that was ridiculous. But knowing it is for the film, my feelings are the same.
I honestly don't know why everyone is having a freak attack about this. It's a brand new interpretation of a property that, while beloved, was never brilliant. This may end up being the most vile thing ever put on celluloid, but then again, there is also the possibility that it could work. Maybe we could wait until the film is actually in the can before clawing at our eyes and tearing at our hair?
