Hey, just wondering if there were any Twelfth Night rush updates. If I wanted to get there around 10 AM on a Sunday, would I stand a chance at getting rush or standing room tickets? Thanks!
My brother and I went to get rush tickets for TWELFTH NIGHT this past Sunday and got there at 10:00. We were the only people in line until probably 11:15ish. They only sold three rush tickets, then sold the rest of the people in line standing room tickets. We were given seats in the house boxes (not onstage) and had a great time viewing the show from there. But for anyone considering standing room tickets, the standing room for this show is actually very good - a great view of the stage.
I wouldn't count on getting seats. I tried last Saturday and they didn't have any seats only standing. It will be hit of miss from here on out I should think. Its good to know the standing room has a nice view.
Does anybody know how many standing room spaces are available? I'm planning on rushing tomorrow morning for the matinee, but I won't be able to get there until 9:45. I figure it's worth a shot, since the run is coming to an end soon, but I want to have some idea oh what to expect when I'm on line. Thanks!
For what it's worth...I went on Saturday at 840, was 3rd in line, and got box seats for both productions. It seemed as though there were about 8 seats in the boxes an rest standing. Line started to get long around 9:20.
Thank you very much, PlayEsq, I plan on stopping by and seeing what happens; I have Machinal rush as a back-up plan! I'll update the thread with what I observe tomorrow!
Here's my update from this morning: got to the box office at 9:30 promptly, and was about twelfth person in line. By the time the box office opened I'd say there were roughly thirty+ people. I was able to get a box seat forTwelfth Night for the matinee; it probably helped that there were a few purchases for Richard II. Seemed like on Wednesday, half hour early was ample time!
my update from feb 6 for 12th Night. I got there at 9:10am and was 11th in line (technically 9th, but two people joined). I was able to get tickets and at least the person behind me got them.
I rushed yesterday also. I got there at 9am and was fifth in line. When I got to the window they had one rush ticket remaining, so I opted for a pair of standing room. At least three of the people in front of me also went for the pair of standing room instead of the single rush ticket, so at most there were only three actual rush tickets available. (This is assuming that the first gentleman in line took a pair of rush tickets, but I can't confirm.)
