Hint about Jekyll & Hyde's Broadway home: Jekyll will be going into a theatre after another show's limited run ends. Guesses?

I loved the way the set looked on the professional filming. Simple, graceful, stark, and intimate.

I saw that tweet, too. I looked at the Peter and the Starcatcher website and it says limited run on it. Tix through January, although that can change of course.

Porgy and Bess at the Rodgers ends 9/23. Lewis Black has two weeks in October.

^ Except the St. James isn't a Nederlander house.

I don't think Peter and the Starcatcher is, or ever has been, billed as a limited run. They have never, as far as I remember, set a specific closing date. While they currently are only selling to a certain date, that is fairly common. It may end up that they eventually post a closing notice for that date, but they could just as easily open up the next block of tickets for sale. Pretty much every open-ended run will still only sell tickets so far in advance.

@BlueForBroadway Where on the PATSC website does it say it
is a limited run? I haven't seen that anywhere before and can't find it
on the site. Are you sure you aren't looking at a release from
the NYTW production?

I swear I saw that yesterday on the site, but I can't find it now. I may have gotten Newsies confused with Peter since it was also mentioned on the Peter site.

I did a google search for it yesterday. I'm sorry for confusing the facts.

Still, I am hoping for the BAT.

philly03 - I saw the OBC of "Jekyll & HYde" and loved it. I know not making money deems a show a "flop" but IMO if it runs over 1500 performances it has to be considered a success. I mean for close to 4 yrs there were enough people interested to see this show and pay money to keep the theatre doors open.

^ Unfortunately the majority of critics didn't like it either... BUT the show had great audiences throughout the four years regardless of what lies people claim on this board (look at the numbers!).

The OBC was one of the best original casts, particularly considering they were all generally new comers (Linda, Bob and Christiane Noll) and sold the show fantastically for the year and a half they were together!

philly03 - Yes OBC was amazing and the show's devoted fans were nicknamed "Jekkies".

DOoesn't mean some limited play or something can't go in there for a few months.
