as others have said the best way to experience it is to go in not knowing anything about it. they go through everything about 3 times starting around 7 (or 11 for the midnight shows) so you can see different things that happens simultaneously. the only advice i would give you is to get there as close to 7(or 11) as possible to get to experience more of it.

Since its mostly sold out through the end of April, what do you think the chances are that they'll extend?

i think they will extend but later on in the run. they will want people to think they are ending the run at the end of april so they buy tickets. once more shows in april begin to sell out theres a better chance they will extend.

Practically every show at every time is already sold out thru the end of April. I think it's safe to assume they have a hit on their hands. You would think they'd want to keep the momentum going and announce if they're planning to extend.

ETA: Well... actually, not true. Guess I was looking primarily at Friday and Saturday nights, which are mostly completely sold out. Also just about every night at 7pm. If I get tickets, I want them for 7pm, and preferably on a Friday night. So I'll wait to see if they extend. Something tells me, they will. Can't believe they would have gone through the trouble of converting such a large space for a six week run.

When they extended in Boston, tickets were snapped up reallllllllly quickly. They get people hooked on the thing and dying to come back, and that has a very specific kind of momentum that's on an entirely different track than the word of mouth people who would like to see it the first time.

Oh, and neither of the times I went in Boston was I able to get first entrance block tickets, which, while optimal, is not absolutely necessary.

i think the reason tickets aren't completely sold out is the price. in boston it was something like $30. here it is $75.

$80 when you include the $5 processing fee...

But that's how you know it's a ridiculously good show/experience. When people are willing to drop yet another $80 to see it again!

I think people have been slow to catch on to what this is. I confess it wasn't really on my radar until last week when I was suddenly barraged by people who had been and couldn't stop talking about it.

They rely on word of mouth, with mine being bigger than usual in the past year. There will come a tipping point when returning fans and the people they urge to see it will snap up all the tickets.

For those who have seen it... any advantage or disadvantage to seeing the 11pm show as opposed to the 7pm show on the weekends? Also, is there any way of telling what floor you're on or where you're at in the building? Oh yeah... and what time's the orgy and how do you find it???

Oh how that qualifier protects you from witchy comments. Sleep No More is AMAZING

I am aching to go again myself. To catch other aspects. To relive others. What freaking magic.

I'm seeing it this weekend. This lead me to think about what an embarrassment of riches it is that the new Tony Kushner play is the warm-up act!

I have a few friends who were some of the many volunteers that helped load in the show. They said the producers spent millions of dollars on this production, and that it'd have to run much longer than the initial run to turn any kind of profit.

I imagine we'll see more dates on sale when the reviews come out. Does anyone recall when the official opening is? I remember they did set one.

I haven't seen anything about an official opening. But the way this thing works is the word of mouth is like a snowball rolling down a hill. Every night a certain percentage of the few hundred people make up their minds they need to see it again soon.

according to Felix after the show tonight, the show opens in 2 weeks (if that is exact, then it would be right around april 6th).

in the bar when the show was over tonight i think i heard about 10 different people say they have to come back to see it again. i'm sure many more were thinking the same thing. that "certain percentage" you're talking about, namo, is definitely rising.

It's inevitable. The utter genius of this thing is you can get up to three hours worth of sights, sounds and memories and they always leave you wanting more.

I go tonight! I'm a little nervous because I've tried to preserve as much of the mystery as possible and that's not me at all, but I'm SUPER excited. I haven't had a chance to sit down and read Macbeth, but hopefully I'll be okay just knowing the basic storyline. I'm already kind of sad about the possibility of feeling like I desperately want to see it again and not being able to!

Looks like they very quietly extended the run a bit...the "Buy Tickets" calendar now lists two days in May...

I've seen the show multiple times as a steward, and am completely in love. It's crazy how detailed the set is. I've noticed that most people enjoy it, as long as they've done their homework and know that it's a non-traditional piece. Be prepared. I highly recommend staying for the whole show.

I hear a lot of people discussing the show, and hear way more people planning to come back than who dislike it. There are SO many people who travel to see the show from Boston, it's really neat. It is what you make of it. I do want to reiterate what it says on the ticket purchasing page: Wear sensible shoes. Seriously.

I do recommend stewarding if you're interested in cheap ways to see the show. What you see depends on where you're stationed, but two shifts (almost) pays for a ticket. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2HVH8Y5

i've been thinking about stewarding, so i just signed up. thanks for the link. hopefully they're still accepting stewarding applications! they also havent opened up the stewarding application dates for the extension. do you know if they are going to do that or are they asking previous stewards to do it? thanks!

Just went last night. Frickin' Diabolical!! ( some times literally!!) It is a surreal experience w only a few of the audience forgetting they don't participate they observe! ( except when THEY reach out to u) The masks lend a certain element of disconnection. U r anonymous and it is your presence that really creates the final piece of the enviorment. I can totally see where the $$ was spent on. DETAIL!!!!

FYI's coat check is now $3.00 , I suggest a pre show libation @ the bar b4 u start 2 loosen up and definatly one ( at least) after. Good fitting shoes u can walk in. There is no 6th floor so don't waste time trying. Repeat the floors u walk on again and again and again and again.(3, 4, 5) think I did it close to 10 times and still didn't catch it all, tho I saw alot. Please don't steal masks- saw a few sneaked out. There r washrooms on each floor if u r in real need a steward can help but thats all they can do- no guidance. As it gets closer to the end & people leave a floor the stewards will block entrance please don't fight w them.

Not a real spoiler but.....

as it gets closer to 10 pm try to make your way to the "ballrm"

This as been the high point of my trip, thanks for the tip Namo m'boy!

Actually, sabrelady, the masks are yours to keep! I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and that you made your way to the ballroom. :)

yay_gerb, filling out the survey gets your information to the house manager. So hopefully she'll get back to you when more slots open up.
