I was wondering why some of Disneys shows (Lionking and Mary Poppins) say showbill instead of playbill?

B/c Disney owns the New Amsterdam and wants to control the advertising that appears in the programs that they distrubte. They do not own the Rodgers nor the Minskoff.

the cabaret revival had a showbill as well since they were handed out at the end of the performance to keep the club atmosphere during the show.
