The Minutes Preview Thread  Feb 25 2020, 11:24:25 PM

Went tonight and loved the show. That said, I completely expect the show to be divisive among many. Letts is truly attempting to do something here and I thought he nailed the majority of it.

Going to stay away from mentioning anything because the show needs to be seen and the experience is best served walking in with knowing as little as possible.

The entire ensemble works rather well but as a previous poster stated, I found Austin Pendleton to be the true standout.&

Synecdoche2 said: "The Minutes was taken off the site as they uploaded it too soon. It didn't sell out 9 performances worth in a minute."

This makes more sense.

Wow, can't believe how fast all of those performances of the Minutes sold out.

A Soldier's Play Previews  Jan 2 2020, 12:26:55 PM

While there were parts of the play and production I thought were enjoyable enough, it ultimately left me feeling flat.

Tend to agree with much of what Nasty khakis stated, as I also found it pretty dull.

While Underwood was fine enough, I just couldn't take O'Connell seriously.  Going against the popular belief, I thought David Alan Grier was woefully miscast. His character is so central to the play working, I just did not believe he was successful portraying a

Doubling checking here in case I've missed it but has anyone seen My Name is Lucy Barton up?

Who Have You Gotten Stuff Back From?  Nov 20 2019, 06:20:46 PM

Heard back from American Utopia today.

Full cast signed Playbill, took about three weeks.

Red Bucket Follies Collections  Nov 13 2019, 10:11:53 PM

Freestyle Love Supreme is $40 for Playbills, $100 for posters.

Pretty good deal considering Lin, Daveed and everyone else have signed.

Red Bucket Follies Collections  Nov 13 2019, 07:58:30 AM
Anyone know if Freestyle Love Supreme is collecting?
KRISTIN CHENOWETH: FOR THE GIRLS Show Thread  Nov 10 2019, 11:29:02 PM

Went tonight and really enjoyed it. Ran about 2:15.

Stephen Schwartz came on stage and played Desperado. They followed that up with For Good.

Really liked Kristin's take on Hallelujah.

Hearing her sing at the end without the microphone was truly special.

The Official TDF Thread  Nov 9 2019, 11:56:55 PM

Earlier today, Freestyle Love Supreme was up for this Wednesday at 7pm. Anyone know if this was the first time a non 10pm performance has been available?

The Lightning Thief previews thread  Oct 27 2019, 10:23:15 PM

After getting back from this tonight, I can't shake the feeling how there seemed to be no energy in the audience. There was no buzz, no juice, no excitement. Sat in the third row of the orchestra and maybe the entire theater was half filled. Even the staff seemed over it.

As for the show, it is what it is. I give the cast credit for trying to make it work. The production values, it's already been said here numerous times.

Tina audience rewards?  Oct 21 2019, 01:29:34 PM

Last week, I was side orch O, seat 1.

What happened to Whizzer  Sep 24 2019, 11:12:33 PM
Thank you both.

Glad to hear he’s still around on the board.

I was reading the Rose Tattoo and Sound Inside preview threads and realized he didn’t comment, hence the question.

Greased, you are correct though, I should have done a better job of searching.

What happened to Whizzer  Sep 24 2019, 10:55:19 PM

Does anyone know? He would be at every first preview like clockwork. Find myself missing his thoughts and words.

THE ROSE TATTOO Previews - SPOILERS  Sep 24 2019, 10:53:19 PM

Just out of the theater and found this to be pretty disappointing.

While Tomei is fine at times, I tend to agree with BettyBoy72 regarding how she doesn't seem to channel the primal aspects of the character. I felt like I was watching her act.

The play is slow, tedious and the tone is all over the place. Perhaps the problem comes with how the text is being played. I've always seen this play as more light hearted and funny. It's sticks out like a sour thumb
