Call me crazy, but I have this feeling that Simard is going to be walking to the platform in a “Glen Close/Olivia Colman” situation where everyone assumes everyone else will vote for the legend, and votes for the one they just really liked the best. Just my wacky thought for a big possible upset. *shrug*

Other than the Lincoln Center archives, I can't find any footage of the original production of Godspell, either at the Cherry Lane or at The Promenade. There are a few talk-show appearances on You Tube, and some great footage posted by original cast member Peggy Gordon of the 10th anniversary production, but none of the original. Sigh.

I managed to snag two tickets for an upcoming Donna performance in orchestra row J on the left...seats 9 and 11. I am sure they are pretty good seats, but can anyone clarify whether or not we will be too far to the left to see the facial expressions while Donna is eating?

I do not post here often anymore, but can't not add to all the kudos for the show and for Donna Murphy. I saw the show tonight, and want to see how I feel about it in a couple of days, but will tentatively say it's the greatest thing I've ever seen. The joy pouring out of that stage and that orchestra pit, matched with the extreme appreciation & joy being fed right back at it from the audience is a thing of beauty, and so needed right now!
