Congrats, Laura Osnes!  May 1 2012, 01:34:54 PM
Yes, ChildrenwillListen! And people said such horrible things about GYTOTIW. That was the show that pole vaulted Laura Osnes to Broadway. She and Ashley Spencer both are quite successful on Broadway . Ashley Spencer has just been cast as Sherrie in Rock of Ages. I have said it before, I enjoyed GYTOTIW and wish there would be another one! Great way to discover talent.

CINDERELLA stars set: Santino Fontana and Laura Osnes  Apr 19 2012, 01:02:02 PM
Yes, Ashley Spencer has been in three Broadway shows. Hairspray, Grease and Priscilla and has done lots of regional work. And, Eris, thanks for reminding us about the other "Grease" Contestants. I had forgotten.
CINDERELLA stars set: Santino Fontana and Laura Osnes  Apr 19 2012, 12:42:37 PM
Laura Osnes and Ashley Spencer both came from the Reality Show (Grease You're the One That I Want)world! They have both proven what good actresses they are and why they were both chosen first and second place on that show ! They have both been on Broadway since that show! Kathleen Marshall and David Ian both did a great job at recognizing both of their amazing talent! Their vocal and acting skills are outstanding! Let's just all accept the fact that these two ladies proved the naysayers wrong

I didn't feel that Brantley's review was negative. He had good things to saw about Jeremy Jordan and Kara Lindsey!

Joyful Noise reviews- Not so joyful  Jan 14 2012, 10:09:00 AM
http://www.filmjournal.com/filmjournal/content_display/reviews/major-releases/e3iddc1d0e0a05eaa53d9ee2eafbf917b02 Read the last paragraph of this review! I totally agree with it!

"In addition to all this, the film possesses a secret weapon: Jeremy Jordan, who, like Darren Criss of “Glee,” is a phenomenal triple-threat talent, with the kind of effervescent, true-blood showmanship harking back to James Cagney. These guys just love to perform, and that love gloriously transfers itself to the viewer. Jordan, who was absolutely spectacular—near-legendary, really—in the recent, quite wonderful, undeserved Broadway flop Bonnie and Clyde, grabs the screen with his sexy faun face and ardent, natural acting, humanizing all that rote James Dean anguish. And when, in the final competition, he searingly performs Usher’s “Yeah!”, he lifts the movie straight up into blissfully funky movie-musical heaven. "
