The timeline for this does not align with Caroline's departure. From my understanding producers where scrambling behind the scenes to find a replacement before it was announced on July 29th. The entire cast was on 6 month

My guess is Akimbo announces a late February or early March closure just after the Holidays so they can run a see last years Tony Winner before it closes campaign.
How to Dance and Harmony on the other hand could announce any day and still hypothetically still close before years end.

Harmony has a smaller hill to climb then Ohio, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get notice for either next week for 12/30 or 1/8.
I saw someone say they think Akimbo will likely post after the holidays and it wouldn't surprise me either, and a 15-16 month run for a such a small show that's had a terrible marketing campaign and next to no non-theater community support is nothing to poopoo about. While Kimberly Akimbo will also likely close at a loss

SHUCKED will close January 14, 2024; TOMMY rumored for the Nederlander Oct 13
2023, 01:21:13 PM
From my understanding producers are actively looking to move the show to another theater as the show has consistently made money since Tony nominations came out. It wasn't making a ton of money, nor was it on track to recoup its investment, but was still consistently turning a profit. I had some friends who were at Glass House last night also tell me the cast was there after the news broke and they overheard them discussing where they think they might move. So the question at this point s

Kimberly Akimbo is still making money, but barely. It likely won't make it past January, but for that's in line with what you would expect for a run for such a quirky little musical th

From my understanding the Jacobs and Studio 54 do have Fall tenants lined up that have simply yet to be announced.

Interesting to note that both SIX and Mormon were shut out of the $1 mil club this month. I don't think either will be closing anytime soon since they've both recouped and are definitely still tu

Since when did Kimberly Akimbo cost under $500K a week? Yes I fully acknowledge the apparent $410K and $520K operating costs seem outrageous with what is actually happening on stage, at least Kimberly Akimbo has 9 principal performers and 6 offstage principal understudies. For a 3 person show with a single static set, m

Its between $630K-$650K from what I have been told. Producers were very keen on keeping costs low for an original show with no stars, but I don't know if that includes the shows weekly marketing budget or if all of the marketing we saw from April-June was part of their initial capitalization. Safe to say though Shucked looks to be turning into the first sleeper hit Broadway has seen since School of Rock in 2015

It looks like Kimberly Akimbo is in the middle of transitioning all of their key art from the original T-Shirt with candy necklace design to the Roller Coaster, as the marquee outside the theater was just changed this week to reflect the new artwork. So I wouldn't be surprised if the playbills and window cards change to the new des

Speaking of the weekly nut, anyone have an idea (or a very educated guess) of what it is for BTTF? I'd think it was really high given the extent of the technology and the size of the theater. I know that the orchestra consists of 14 musicians."
