Spiderman Rush, what's it like?  Mar 23 2011, 11:44:53 AM
I'ved tried two different Saturdays, once getting there at 10 and once getting there at 9:30, no luck either time. Both times there were 50+ people in front of me.
Drowsy Chaperone Question,  Dec 7 2010, 08:01:43 PM
Worked on the pre-Broadway version... the early weeks of the Los Angeles run had a song for George called that. It was cut late in previews.
Osnes, Stone et al. Join Foster & Grey in ANYTHING GOES; Full Cast Announced  Dec 7 2010, 07:57:48 PM
I think Laura Osnes is a great choice. I usually can't stand the character of Hope, but maybe she'll change my mind. I love Sutton, but I think she's a strange choice for Reno... and WHY do they always try and make her blonde??? She's very pretty as a brunette, blonde wigs just look strange on her.
Questions about Goodspeed Opera House  Jun 9 2010, 12:35:21 AM
The orchestra is kind of in your lap in the front row, and I've been told that there is occasionally a sightline problem with them in the very front row.

No rake to the house, but it is a very small theatre, a little less than 400 seats.

LEND ME A TENOR rush  Jun 8 2010, 01:07:24 AM
A friend and I did it on a weekday last week, we were first in line till about 9:45ish. Half hour before BO opens is prob fine.
BEHANDING rush tix- anyone done lately?  Jun 1 2010, 04:12:17 PM
I got a box seat for rush price half an hour to curtain on a Saturday matinee about two weeks ago. You'll probably be fine.
Trump says Tony Awards caused Bret Michaels Brain Hemmorhage  Apr 28 2010, 06:56:41 PM
I can't take anyone with that heinous of a comb-over seriously.
Tonight at La Cage... soundboard dies  Apr 25 2010, 10:59:03 PM
You left out the part where he forgot the name of Broadway Cares... that was way awkward. 0_0
PROMISES, PROMISES Rush- where are the seats located?  Apr 25 2010, 10:07:43 AM
Did rush yesterday, got there about 9:15 and got a seat easily. Long line by like 9:40. The seats are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay in the back though, like very last row of rear mezz. I almost wish I had splurged for a better seat, but at least I got to appreciate the choreography.
Addams Family Rush  Apr 20 2010, 01:02:31 AM
anyone tried lately? Was going to try Thursday...
What is the most obscure but brilliant musical you love?  Apr 16 2010, 04:16:09 PM
I second Weird Romance, its the first show I thought of when I saw the topic.
Billy Elliot/Imperial Theatre Seating Question  Apr 12 2010, 04:09:01 PM
Go for the As, its great to see the show that close, and the stage isn't too high.
The New Billy Elliot Love Thread  Mar 2 2010, 06:09:47 PM
Personally I much prefer the right side. Its true more of the set is cut off, but because of the way the set slants on the left side, the actors tend to face right MUCH more than left.
Shows you discovered after they closed and never got to see  Feb 26 2010, 06:33:04 PM
[title of show], Jersey Boys OBC

The late twitter was my fault, sorry.... :/ BTW, next week the Twitter feed turns 1 year old! :)
Can someone explain how this is ok? stagehand at Wicked  Feb 16 2010, 07:14:33 PM
It drives me bonkers every time I see this in Broadway shows, which happens entirely too often. Its a pretty hard and fast rule in every theatre I've ever worked in, professional or not, that crew wears black. SOMETIMES you can get away with really really dark wash jeans or chucks, but I've seen crew get crap from other crew members for trying to pass with like navy and dark grey.
Drowsy Chaperone Tour- now with intermission?  Feb 16 2010, 07:10:23 PM
The pre-Broadway run didn't have an intermission. I worked on the show, still have my script and score.
Unions and Affiliations  Feb 4 2010, 11:06:33 PM
Stage managers are AEA too! We always get overlooked :p
The New Billy Elliot Love Thread  Feb 3 2010, 06:48:43 PM
Thanks for that great review! :)
Billy Elliot/Imperial ticket question  Feb 2 2010, 04:41:35 PM
I personally love sitting close up, but wouldn't recommend it for a first viewing.

A107-108 are right in back of the conductor, which can be pretty distracting, again, if its your first show. I sat in AA right next to him once and it wasn't bad. You might enjoy AA2/4 a bit more though, which are the closest to center seats in right orchestra. The stage is not terribly high, I'm pretty short and can still see everyone's feet. Its also pretty steeply raked.
