Messaged you. Am I too late?

Unpopular opinion: My ranking of the Broadway Hedwigs:  Jan 10 2021, 09:44:26 PM

I literally gasped at the OP.

I saw the show a approximately 20 times at the Jane and 7 or 8 times on Broadway.
These are my rankings of the actors I’ve seen.

1. JCM  (I’ve definitely seen him the majority of my viewings)

2. Michael Cerveris (3 times)

3. Kevin Cahoon (once)

4. Matt McGrath (once)

5. Michael C. Hall (once)

6. Neil Patrick Harris (3 times) I was at the first preview and then went a couple more times. I was so happy the sho

Cameo.Com  Dec 12 2020, 03:30:55 PM

One of my closest friends got me a cameo for my birthday from John Cameron Mitchell (my fav!) and I loved it. He changed the lyrics to Wig in a Box to be anti-Trump. It was fun. He recommended a couple shows.  He talked about his dying mom, which seemed odd in a birthday message.  It definitely had a melancholic tone, but everything’s been awful in 2020, so I get it. I’ve never looked to see what she spent, because I don’t want to think about it. What made Natasha Richardson so brilliant as Sally?  Feb 21 2020, 07:43:51 PM

I was lucky enough to see her performance. I just loved her. It’s difficult to say exactly what made it so affective, but she seemed so broken. She just made me ache.  Her voice wasn’t the strongest, which I felt worked better for the character. She was so endearing to me.  I thought that whole production was fantastic. I saw it at the Kit Kat Club. We sat at a table off to the side.  At one point, Alan Cumming sat at our table and started chatting. It was a special

Little Shop of Horrors (PREVIEWS)  Sep 29 2019, 03:48:15 PM

I’ve been seeing shows for a long time. I’m old. This was excessive. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was like a sprinkler.

Edited to add... I’ve seen him 3 other times. This was different. I really think something was off.

Could someone please tell me in spoiler text, if there is any animal abuse? I’m kind of sensitive to animal stuff-particularly dog stuff.  I want to see this, but I need to prepare myself if there is animal

Little Shop of Horrors (PREVIEWS)  Sep 29 2019, 03:39:00 PM

Kind of an odd question...

First of all, I LOVED the show. Loved it! I was at Saturday’s matinee. I wondered if Groff could have been sick.  I’ve never seen someone sweat so much at a show. He spit so much when he was singing. I was very close.  Right up front, row B. I really thought he had to have a fever. At the start of act 2, he had a wet head-like he showered during intermission. Does he always have a wet head? I loved the show, I thought everyone sounded fa

Joe Allen Question  Feb 13 2019, 08:50:59 PM

We go to Joe Allen a lot! They are so good at getting you out on time.  It’s kind of their thing.  Of course, if you don’t want to feel rushed, I’d try to get in earlier. The bar might be a good option for you. You may be able to grab a spot at the bar earlier.  We usually sit at the bar when we go.  Everyone loves theatre and they’re all friendly. I’ve always had good experiences there.

Network on stage seating  Feb 13 2019, 08:39:34 PM

This happened to me! I can’t remember where I bought the tickets, but I called them-either Ticketmaster or Telecharge and they helped me out.  I was so worried because I needed the vegetarian option.  If you don’t get through to someone, I wouldn’t worry about it. They still asked what I wanted on the day of the show.  Definitely wear black though.  They didn’t think my sweater was dark enough and they had me wear a black robe over my

The end of the Hedwig movie: WTF?  Nov 19 2018, 07:54:33 PM

Jane2 said: "Yes Joe, Hedwig holds a special place in my life. I was hooked after seeing it for the first time. I virtually never left the theater!

Having seen all the NY Hedwigs in all the shows, I've had enough time to digest it and figure it out for myself, at least.
"

Jane... or anyone, really... Are you going to the concert at Town Hall? I’m so excited-I’m busting. I don’t know how I’ll make it to June.

NETWORK Previews  Nov 18 2018, 11:35:35 PM

Quoted from JayElle..

The glaring spotlights blinded us at the tables and we could only see the backs of the actors 80% of the time. So we had to watch the screen. The actors carrying the mobile film cameras also blocked our view.  Many stage sitters were ticked via their facial expressions and post-show comments to staff. I could see more from center orchestra 4th row on my first visit than I could this time & I was in 1st stage row next to sofa. Sound was sketchy &

And how he goes quiet when it's "you can always follow my voice" is saying he's not going to be there anymore to follow. Then Tommy disappears behind gnosis and showing both his career is over and Hedwig has that much more knowledge. Then Hedwig appears with his cross to show that he's whole and comple

KING KONG Reviews  Nov 10 2018, 08:41:28 PM

I didn’t see this link in the thread.  From Slate:

I still want to see it. As said in the Vulture review, I want to see the monkey.  I love a spectacle.

Seeing shows by yourself  Sep 14 2018, 09:40:24 PM

I go alone about half the time. I prefer to go with someone, but I kind of like going by myself too. The girls at work are always shocked when I go alone. I actually find it kind of empowering. I always get a bite before the show, because I like to eat. I sit at the bar. I’m just more comfortable at the bar.  I just realized I’ve never gotten a table alone at a sit down and order off the menu type place... maybe I’ll do that next time. It&r

Andrew Rannells Live From Lincoln Center Tonight  May 12 2018, 01:08:42 PM

We went back in December and I left slightly disappointed—he sounded good, but I was hoping for a couple songs from productions he’s been in.  Watching last night, I liked it so much better than when I was there.  Maybe because I didn’t have any expectations. He’s charming, handsome, and cheeky. Super charismatic, for sure.  There was more banter that was edited out.  “It Must Be Him” was my favorite of the night. I think the l

Live From Lincoln Center Stephanie J. Block  May 5 2018, 01:11:44 PM

I love her!!! She’s funny, charming and personable. And of course, that voice! She’s a belter.  I thought she was fantastic. Easily the best of the 4. (I went to the AR show) I can’t wait to see her take on Cher.
