The box office manager told me last week when ai purchased my ticket at the Box Office, that it had already banked +$8 million in advance sales for its Broadway run, and was aiming to run through the end of this year minimum, and hopefully through next spring, before heading back out on tour July 2025…

This past weekend I was at Spamalot and lo and behold sitting directly in front of me was Schele Williams. At intermission I went up to her and briefly she chatted. We discussed Aida, and she said it’s going to London first, since it’s never played there before and that way Elton John can tinker with it and attend more rehearsals, and then if it’s well received, will transfer to Broadway. She also said Broadway likely wouldn’t be until Spring 2026…

Currently the revival of Doubt is on sale from Feb 2-April 14 (including previews), and with stars like Tyne Daly and Liev Schrieber, I find it really hard to believe that they’re bothering to mount this on Broadway for just 9 weeks, and close before Tony Nominations, or Award, (I realize Home allegedly has the American Airlines booked for May, but that’s after this season’s Tony Awards cutoff, no further details have been relseased on this production, and it could easily be

It’s been seriously discussed by LCT as a Bartlett Sher directed revival with Paulo Szot as Don Quixote, Danny Burstein as Sancho Panza, and Kelli O’Hara as Aldonza… haven’t heard anything about this in a few years, but that could have been marvelous casting for the Beaumont!!!

When I saw a few weeks ago, the guy at the merch stand told me it was going to start previews in Valentine’s Day @ The Music Box, and then open in mid March… this was the plan that was communicated to me on the 12th of October…
