RIP Nick Cordero  Jul 5 2020, 09:47:04 PM
Super sad. He put up one hell of a fight. I will remember him for being a fighter! RIP Nick.
If you were to rank these shows......  Jan 9 2020, 05:40:29 PM

After reading all these responses, I'm much more excited to see Hadestown now.   Thanks!

If you were to rank these shows......  Jan 9 2020, 12:26:42 AM

I'm heading to NYC at the end of the month.  I'm sure everyone is excited to hear that!......I'm curious to get some opinions.   Here is my list of shows that I will be seeing.

Frozen, Beetlejuice, Hadestown, Moulin Rouge, Tina and Mean Girls.   If you were to rank them from an entertainment perspective, not a critically acclaimed perspective, where would they rank?   Here is my guess....

1.Moulin Rouge   2. Tina  3. &n

Soooooo......my show list for January  Sep 19 2019, 07:43:50 PM

I saw that Beetlejuice just opened ticket sales through April, so that gives me hope with that show.   All three other shows have tickets on sale beyond January so that is encouraging.    Jagged Little Pill might just over take one of these shows.  TBD.  And so much time before the trip!

Soooooo......my show list for January  Sep 19 2019, 07:30:34 PM

The reason for sooooo in the subject line is this....I'm not sure what will actually be playing at the end of January.    I have bought tickets for Moulin Rouge and Hadestown.  Confident they will still be playing.   Have room for four more shows while there.   My wish/hope list is Beetlejuice, Frozen, Tootsie and Mean Girls.    I know so much can change in four months.   Any opinions or insight as to what may have closed by then?  I know this

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR LIVE Discussion Thread  Apr 1 2018, 08:33:10 PM

I'm having a terrible time understanding what they are singing.  No question part of it is because of the audience screaming.

What shows did you go in with low expectations but ended up really enjoying?  Jun 23 2016, 05:26:27 PM

American Psycho, Bright Star and Tuck Everlasting.

OFFICIAL 2016 TONY AWARDS VIEWING THREAD  Jun 13 2016, 02:42:59 AM

I'm going to say this.   I tried to watch the Tony awards.   First thing I want to say....great job James Corden.   I was pretty sure I was not going to like you hosting, but boy was I wrong!  Great job!!   Ok...second, downer.....I work for SWA, and yes one of our girls was shot and in CC due the the ****ing ass hole in Orlando.  Prayers please.  And I suppose my point is this...I think most people don't know who won a Tony, no one knows who won the

American Psycho tour?  Jun 8 2016, 04:45:38 AM

Do shows ever do tours that would only hit specific cities?  I honestly don't know.  I'd fly somewhere to see it again!

American Psycho tour?  Jun 8 2016, 03:51:59 AM

@playbill-love

Once again, trying to keep hope alive.....it seems to me, a majority of tickets sold to shows when touring,  are sold to season ticket holders.   So wouldn't that kind of force an audience?

American Psycho tour?  Jun 8 2016, 03:21:37 AM

@LightsOut90

Not opposing your view.  Just being hopeful.   Is there any comparison between Bridges of Madison County and American Psycho regarding closing dates and then a tour?   Granted, I do understand Bridges won Tony for best music.   I was just trying to keep hopeful idea afloat!   I do see where you are coming from though.

American Psycho tour?  Jun 8 2016, 02:13:21 AM

Any thoughts or rumors?  I know so many people I work with (work for airline, so it's people from everywhere!) and who live in Nashville that were really hoping to see this show during the summer in NYC.  I understand a tour would not happen until the 17-18 season.  Possible?  Reactions?

Question about touring productions  Jun 8 2016, 01:27:57 AM

Thanks @trpguyy

Question about touring productions  Jun 8 2016, 01:19:10 AM

@rippedman

What would be a typical band size?  6?  Seemed to me tonight, maybe as many as 15 or more.  Would that be reasonable?

Question about touring productions  Jun 8 2016, 01:06:19 AM

Very interesting!  I will continue to read this and what cities do what.   Not a huge question ringing in many ears, but I find the answer, well, like I said....interesting.

Question about touring productions  Jun 8 2016, 12:45:19 AM

Thanks for all the imput.  Always kind of blows my mind how everything comes together for a show.  More power to those of you who do it for a living!  Let me buy you a drink or four!   I can't imagine all the scheduling that goes on.

Favorite American Psycho songs  Jun 8 2016, 12:42:25 AM

I've decided to add A Girl Before to my original list.  Musically, it seems a little out of context with most of the other songs. However,  it really makes a nice statement a couple of songs after At The End Of An Island/Hardboy Hamptons.  Mellows things down a bit before we get to This Is Not An Exit.    Looking back, I'm liking all the high energy songs closely together, and then towards end, the songs become a bit more relaxing and mello

Question about touring productions  Jun 8 2016, 12:19:29 AM

Thanks.  I've noticed here in Nashville the musicians are always really good, but honestly, you would kind of expect that here.  Your answer makes even more sense!  Thanks for the reply.

Question about touring productions musicians  Jun 8 2016, 12:13:21 AM

This will be a very simple question for someone to answer.  Just got back from seeing If/Then in Nashville.  I've asked myself this question many times, but have never asked anyone....does the orchestra tour with them or are they local musicians from each city?  Thanks!
