The Notebook - Original Broadway Cast Recording  Apr 19 2024, 06:24:30 PM

Huge Ingrid fan and I have not seen the show so I don’t know all the context. That being said, I found this score to be incredibly generic, repetitive and quite frankly boring.

it’s beautifully sung and gorgeously orchestrated but the lyrics are so inert.

im glad others are enjoying it. It won’t be a frequent listen to for me.

Hudson Theater Box Office Email?  Apr 15 2024, 07:37:23 PM

Just your opinion, sure. But based on what? This might be the most front and center Farrow has been in an acting project since she and Woody Allen were still on speaking terms. Did you see her in something during the last 30 years yo

Stage is very high too. There is nothing intimate about that theatre. Title of Show was dooomed in that space.

I can’t even imagine the inflated prices they will be charging for this so called event. I wonder if they will even get along. Both require a lot of attention.

But not as much attention as you require, apparen

Appropriate Belasco Stage Height  Apr 9 2024, 05:42:13 PM

Hey folks-can anyone who has been to the Belasco for Appropriate let me know how high the stage is? It was low for Girl From The North Country (front row was great) and high for Goodnight Oscar (second row felt too close). Just trying to figure out where in the orchestra to buy tickets. Thanks so much,

Just a follow up that I did get an email later in the day to pre-order the album, which I dutifully did. But am I missing something or did I simply pre-order something that I could've just purchased in October with no benefit to buying early? I kind of assumed that there would be an early release date for those who purchased or some

I was front row for Torch Song and I found the view a little obstructed. The stage felt high. The further back they were the less I could see.

CABARET at the Kit Kat Club Previews  Apr 3 2024, 10:40:43 AM

I'll be curious to see how well this does. I've fatigued of Cabaret and have no interest in seeing this. The whole concept seems bloated. The first reports here aren't helping.

What may have been lightning in a bottle in the UK may not replicate. I'll see how folks feel over time. Is Eddie Redmayne really a draw? I find that unusual. I've never found him compelling outside of his Oscar winning role.

Getting there early and all the shenanigans seem exhau

Any more thoughts on the best place to sit since the move to the Belasco? Are the first few rows ok?

Nunn directed the show like it was a dreary Chekhov piece. It was slow, plodding, and yes, dull. In more capable hands this show should sparkle like a mix of Oscar Wilde and Noel Coward."

That revival was the only "professional" production I've se

EXACTLY! Before we saw the cast list I assumed she was Desiree. Hello, she just slayed Light In The Piazza. She should be Desiree. This casting is beyond bizarre and definitely not worth $400. I love Marsha Mason, but good lord no. I'd prefer Marybeth Peil or Jayne Houdyshell.

I might be in the minority here, but I find this show terribly dull. I'

I cannot answer your question, but I will say that this is a show I prefer from a vantage point (front of mezz>orchestra) but not the first few rows of orchestra regardless of stage height because there is quite

I haven’t heard this score, but unless Elton really challenged him to push outside his comfort zone I don’t see that happening. I didn’t think the Tales of the City score was anything noteworthy and that show didn’t go anywhere. I’ve found his solo albums pretty lackluster.

im excited to hear what he’s done. H
