That's exactly my thought as well. They would lose so much money pulling the rights from schools and such that I cannot see it ever being worth it.

I've read the book and seen the movie but know nothing about the stage show and what changes have been made besides what is in this thread.

But the role of Ma's mother - played by Joan Allen in the movie - perhaps that could be an age appropriate and worthy role for Kerry Washington?

Seth Macfarlane. It would be a treat to see him take over Music Man in the winter, but I know that is a long shot! 

I know it would not be profitable, but this really makes me wish the scores to plays were recorded. I would love to be able to listen to "A Christmas Carol" and "Slave Play" in their score forms.

I definitely agree, but I also feel like we've said that each time they closures have been extended. It's very sad that unfortunately, some shows won't return, but I do have to wonder why more shows have not made announcements yet. 

Oh, would you mind me please posting them? I have been eating a ton of those Oui by Yoplait yogurts, and I have been keeping the jars since they are glass and cute, but I have been looking for something to use them for! Small "Waitress" pies would be perfect!

Sorry to post this on the main board, but it's quite annoying...!

So I don't know if anyone is having this issue, but for the past two weeks or so, I haven't been able to open the spoiler toggles in any posts, on any browser (I have tried on the app, on my laptop on Chrome, on my laptop on Firefox, and on my phone on Safari), and I just can't read them! Is anyone else having this issue?

Another, perhaps pipe dream, idea that I had was possibly to do the flea market pub-crawl style. All 41 of the theaters themselves are sitting empty; each theater could have a table and you just limit the capacity of how many people can go into each of the houses at a time. 

No word yet on when, but it seems it will be un-canceled!
