Yes, this is harder than a Chicago and needs a better signer. Of whom there are dozens of pop stars who were big names 5, 15, 25 years ago who'd be able to handle it just fine and might bring in their "stans"

Not broadway of course, but I walked out of a cover band performance in a theater yesterday. They didn't look OR sound like the band, although they were talented musicians, but I was hoping for a "close your eyes and it sounds like them" experience.
The theater was near a beach and I decided that rather than sit another hour+ during the second act I'd rather get some fresh air at the beach. Actually bumped into one of the performers on my dash to the

Not Just Florida, but a good place to start. It seemed to have worked for awhile in North Carolina a few years ago and in Arizona when sports leagues balked at bathroom bills and refusal to recognize MLK day

NYC has TKTS, which is 50% off (sometimes not quite 50%) tickets day of show and often day before for matinees.
NYC prices are much higher than London in general.
Touring productions range from excellent to pretty bad. They are usually less expensive than Broadway and often have smaller orchestras and less elaborate sets, but the acting and singing is generally quite good as there are so many talented actors out there

I'm not sure How I Learned to Drive was "suspenseful" per se, but it certainly had me uncomfortably squirming in my seat!

But really, I can't recall the name of a play that was on a huge raised turntable. Maybe 8-9 years ago? And they had trouble with the mechanism (it wasn't Machinal) and had to manually turn it at least once during previews
