The three that immediately come to mind are Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, and Little Sho

"Silent Bob" Kevin Smith...) was interested, but when the studio told him they were looking into Tim Burton, he demurred because he got why they'd choose him and the film buff within him was more interested in what a BurtonSweeney Toddwould look like.

For a glimpse at the Smith version that could have been, check out this charming

Cast Recordings That Have Transformed Your Opinion of a Score  Nov 24 2022, 02:14:09 PM

Even though Merrily We Roll Along was a major flop in its' original Broadway run, I always thought the OBC was one of Sondheim's best scores...so seeing all the newer presentations of the "revised" script..(i personally have seen 2 productions of this so-called new and improved version)...BUT..to me the OBC is the best score and most complete listening experience...

LIFE OF PI to transfer to Broadway in March, 2023  Oct 27 2022, 01:49:14 PM

I saw this amazing production in London this past September, and i loved the production...but...the young man playing the lead was so hard to understand, what with his British/Indian accent, that i had to leave at intermission...i regretted this,  but a play is all about the words, and i had a really bad time understanding what he was saying...i do hope that when this production comes to Broadway they find a talented young man who can enunciate better...and i would hope that Broadway aud

i really enjoyed this PBS doc...having seen the original Broadway production in 1970, and the West End revival in 2018, which started the gender swapping of Bobby/i, i felt this captured the 1970's very well...as i was living in NYC that year...i do regret they didn't mention Rosalie Craig from the London 2018 production, who in my opinion did a much better job with the leading role switch than from what i have seen from clips of Lenk...
