Appropriate tonight? 2/15/24  Feb 15 2024, 11:00:36 PM

Quick update for anyone curious: the full cast was in tonight, no understudies. The show was very good and went off without a hitch (no one performing seemed sick, this must’ve been more of a crew issue). You would’ve never guessed this was the first show performed since Saturday.

Appropriate tonight? 2/15/24  Feb 15 2024, 11:42:21 AM

Received email and saw on their Instagram story that the performance will be on for tonight!

Not sure about any cast absences, but I believe it would be mentioned if either Paulson or Fanning would be out as they’ve made announcements about them in the past.

Does anyone think tomorrow’s performance will go on? Any inkling as to who (if anyone) may be out if the performance goes on? Thanks.

They have $18.00 rush tickets at the box office.

Thanks! Not going to be able to go early in the morning, so I splurged for a full price ticket (around $120 with fees) in the front mezzanine. Wish I had jumped on discounts/TDF sooner, but you win some/lose so

Tonight’s performance is cancelled. Received the email at 5:04pm.

APPROPRIATE Reviews  Dec 20 2023, 08:43:04 AM

Keep in mind, I believe 30 Under 30 tickets are still available (if you’re under 30, obviously). I was anticipating the great reviews and bought a ticket a few days ago for next month and am happy with the seat (Row P Right Orchestra).

Sondheim/Ives HERE WE ARE @ The Shed  Sep 29 2023, 01:32:53 PM

How was David Hyde Pierce and the extent of his role? When the cast was announced, some outlets made us believe he was looking like the lead, but it doesn’t seem anyone has mentioned him yet.

Lea Michele as Fanny - Funny Girl  Aug 23 2023, 03:23:47 PM

I think it’s as simple as the producers gave Lea and Tovah more incentive to have stayed through the summer. Neither one had been contracted to stay until September. This way it allowed them to feel good about extending their runs, while also giving them time to spend with their family and still somewhat enjoy the summer.

I’m sure the producers would rather not have given all this vacation time, but it’s more than a fair trade to have kept the show open

Any cast vacations coming up that anyone is aware of? Thanks!

Good Night Oscar - rush as of late  Jul 29 2023, 03:02:11 PM

I’m not sure about the general $35 rush. However, last night (Friday) I showed up 30 minutes before curtain and was able to get a $69 premium rush ticket (Orchestra Left, M-17). Great seat and honestly the rear side orchestra was pretty empty.

The Official TDF Thread  May 9 2023, 11:43:41 AM

Any Some Like it Hot update these days? I know they’ve been stingy with seats and it still says Balcony, but I’m just wondering if anyone has had any recent experiences that might’ve differed from the norm.

The Official TDF Thread  May 4 2023, 10:00:42 AM

Honestly, for me personally, everyone talked about it so much beforehand that I simply understood what was going on and felt like it had little bearing on the whole.

I feel like it’s an extra little moment that’s nice to see, but the show is over anyway and you understand what’s happening regardless of if you see it or not.

The Official TDF Thread  May 4 2023, 06:35:10 AM

Some recent TDF experiences (basically the same seat and view!) Very good seats for both.

Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan in THE SIGN IN SIDNEY BRUSTEIN’S WINDOW at BAM  Mar 4 2023, 09:27:14 AM

I saw this last night and loved it. Terrific performances from Brosnahan, Isaac, and Silverman. I was really fascinated with the structure of the play and Hansberry’s analysis of so many important social concepts of the early 1960s that still feel very relevant today. Yes, the play is a little messy and the end of Act 1 was starting to drag, but I really appreciated how well directed and performed this was. I feel like Isaac and Brosnahan would be leading contenders for Tony Awards if t

BETWEEN RIVERSIDE & CRAZY Reviews  Feb 5 2023, 09:00:54 AM

I’d say it’s definitely better to sit House Left versus House Right. There’s a lot of action that occurs on a heightened platform on stage left, thus making house right much more obstructed than left.

The Official TDF Thread  Dec 15 2022, 02:13:23 AM

Hadestown (12/14 Wednesday evening) was Orchestra Left Row K, Seats 9 and 11. Excellent seats!

BETWEEN RIVERSIDE AND CRAZY Previews  Dec 12 2022, 06:47:16 AM

I saw this yesterday afternoon and agree that this is an under the radar MUST see. I was totally enthralled by the complicated themes, dark humor, and humanity embedded in this play. Stephen McKinley Henderson is giving a master class performance, and it is stunning how amazing and nuanced his performance is. He tows the line between heartwarming, tragic, and vindictive within breaths. The entire ensemble was excellent, and on the whole Common more than held his own. Austin Pendleton’s
