Sutton Foster CANCELLED?  Jun 11 2021, 09:11:05 AM

"she was NOT doing a generalised re-interpretation of a song standard that belongs to a black performer in the show"

Correct. You're thinking of Andrew Keenan-Bolger...

Broadway song about a special place  Apr 6 2021, 01:29:39 PM

NEVERLAND - PETER PAN  is kind of one of those songs for me. Even though it is named, the directions aren't exactly clear "it MIGHT be miles beyond the moon OR right there, where you stand"

"quite small and nicely crammed with hardly any space between one adventure and another"

"once you have found your way there"

....sounds pretty special to me

Looking for a HQ track of ELEGANCE if anyone knows one from the Magic Kingdom's arrangement!

Earwig transitions on Cast Recordings  Nov 4 2020, 11:59:27 AM

No matter how many times I listen to Sunset Boulevard, I'm never ready for the changeover from the end of Greatest Star of All to  and Every Movie's a Circus (reprise)

Into the Woods :  right after the sweet & lovely "It Takes Two"  button  - I know its coming, but that SCREAM from Stay With Me gets me every time lol

THE MUSIC MAN Will Now Start Previews 12/20/21  Oct 13 2020, 02:28:47 PM

My original Oct 21st, 2020 date will now be June 30 2022.

can't

even

Literally. My credit card can't do this anymore. It's been a fun ride since the moment I purchased these tix Sept of last year, but I wanna see a show of hands from anyone that would purchase premium front row tickets for a show that was THREE years away.  If COVID doesn't kill me, the interest on my card from these tickets will.

The original production of Beauty and the Beast  Aug 28 2020, 10:19:58 AM

Alma Cuervo (replacement Mrs. Potts) totally busted me for filming (pictures, no flash) on front row when I saw the show May 2005. She was shooting daggers with her eyes during Human Again. I felt about 3 inches tall and vowed to never take pictures again....(except that one more time when Patti LuPone yelled at me during GYPSY...JK!!)

I saw it twice at the Lunt; with Brooke Tansley as Belle/ Blanchard as Beast ..... & then with Christy Carlson Romano playing B

Broadway Shows that End With Questions?  Jul 27 2020, 10:37:54 PM

Be More Chill

In fairness, I was the one asking the question: Why did I pay for this?

Best outdoor production you've seen?  Jul 25 2020, 08:45:04 PM

Its funny how this one sticks in my mind. But its for obvious reasons if you were there...

Back when Jenny Wiley Theatre in Kentucky used to be good (prior to 2005), they had a FANTASTIC production of The King And I. I can still remember the scenic design and under the stars the show really took on a different feel (even with traditional staging). I think that was sometime around 2000 or 2001. Again, just incredible production.

B'way closed thru 1/3 now  Jun 29 2020, 02:21:26 PM

So with this closure of all Broadway shows til next year, does this mean Beetlejuice can take back the Winter Garden until the other shows open?

I laughed so hard typing that.
