Oh my dear LORD...

I love that movie. It's one of my favorites...second ONLY to Monty Python and the Holy Grail...because it's impossible to beat THAT movie...

Mmm...Matthew Broderick...

I love Alan Ruck, too. He's hilarious. Isn't he actually in the touring company of The Producers?

I wish it was that easy to cut school these days...now it's impossible. At my school, anyway. Plus, there's nowhere good to skip TO, like Chicago...there's the beach, but only in May and early September...

I'm sorry, I ramble too much.

I'm going to put in Ferris Bueller now. Maybe I'll watch that for a while before my nightly dose of Python...

Jennifer Grey was great.
But then she became completely unrecognizable from plastic surgery and disappeared of the face of the earth.

Save Ferris!

I mean, really. What's the point? I'm not
European. I don't plan to be European.
So, who gives a $hit if they're socialists?
They could be fascist anarchists and it
still wouldn't change the fact that I
don't own a car.

Yes, Alan Ruck is playing Leo in the Producers tour. I went to college with Alan - we knew he was destined for greatness.

I know about 50 Chicago actors who were in that movie.

Cameron impersonating Sloane's dad on the phone to Rooney:

"Sir, you're an asshole!"

Undiscovered's comment:

"when we saw him in Star Trek - a guy in the theatre yelled - 'who the hell would let Cameron have a starship?' "

Omigosh, I just spit my Slimfast all over my desk. Tooo funny.

I love Ed Rooney trying to get his secretary's attention screaming through clenched teeth:

"Grace... Grace... GRACE!"

and..."the sausage king of Chicago"...

Rooney: "I don't trust this kid as far as I can throw him"
Grace: "With your bad back, you shouldn't throw anyone, Ed!"

One of those movies you can't help but quote.

Isn't Grace the best?! Pulling all those pencils out of her hair...

And, the parade...lipsyncing to Wayne Newton...

Bueller...

Bueller...

Bueller...

YES?..... the first time I heard that recorded advertisment I was half naked.... in a dept. store dressing room. I bumped into everything scurring to cover myself, thinking some one was paging me... or worse... stalking me!

.. Or how would you like to face the constant baloney every time you called your sons out of school for the day with the last name of Bueller?

Yet, I came to not wince... yes, even enjoy the crazy ole show.
Favorite parts: Cameron's face after the car took a dive and especially the final scene when the kid offers the principal some candy on the bus after he's been demolished.

Pati Buehler

I owe the film this... it's given me the opportunity to use the line " Mr. Buehler, you're my hero" with real meaning.

Hey, has anyone else ever notice that when Cameron kills the car, the license plate is NRVOUS?
I had to check imdb to make sure I didn't imagine it

LOVE this movie. Wish the dvd had more features, but it's just a must-own.

The best part about growing up in the 80s was being in high school when the following films opened:

Sixteen Candles
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Breakfast Club
Pretty in Pink
Dirty Dancing
Some Kind of Wonderful
Back to the Future
Desperately Seeking Susan
Ruthless People
Top Gun
Aliens
Working Girl
Big
Beetlejuice
A Fish Called Wanda

Those were the days....

Saw Alan Ruck in The Producers last weekend at the Kennedy Center. He was warm, funny and generally very good in the part. His singing is OK but not much better than Steven Weber's or even Matthew Broderick's. He has a nice voice, it's just not too strong, and some notes are not held as long as they are on Broadway.

Still, hist timing is perfect and the aducience loved him, although he is a little big to be believable as a "mousy" accountant. Luis J. Stadler as Maax was very funny, but it is hard to understand some of his lyrics and his singin is merely adequate. Still, he gets laughs and plays it in a very unique way, not trying to copy Nathan.

Lee Roy Reams is a great Roger De Bris, but not nearly as perfect as Gary Beach.

I wish I could see Ruck in the part.

I saw Stadlen as Max on B'way and was thouroughly disappointed.
