What on EARTH doesthat have to do with anything? It can be a creative choice. She most likely is trying to showcase other vocalranges over what people generally expect from her. Kelli O'Hara did this by choosing roles which showcased her acting range (and vocally, most notably) instead of sticking to one type of role. Kristin Chenoweth has also done the same with her choices."

I'm not concerned about Ben Platt at all. I am much more concerned that Spielberg with probably cast Katherine McPhee as Maria or Anita. That's the casting everyone should crap themselves over.

I'm in the process of getting $25 tickets for Songs for New World and I'm torn between front row of the balcony off to the side or row B of the mezz off to the side? Does anyone have any insight? I've never attended something at City Center before. Thank you!
With the exception of the end, this was the only version of CHESS that worked for me. It embraced the absurdity of a chess match having real foreign policy implications. And the inclusion of SALT II and Reagan added a level of realism I always thought was missing.
I also liked the men better than the women, which is atypical for me. I'd love to see Cynthia Erivo as Florence if this ever transfers.
