BCEFA Flea Market Collectors Unite!  Sep 30 2018, 06:10:14 PM
Did anyone make it to the "Sweeney Todd" table? I'm dying to know what they had. And did anyone get any extra "Sweeney" stuff that they'd part with?

The Bad Seed- Revival?  Sep 12 2018, 10:47:10 AM

What is it about this property and the current zeitgeist that make you feel a revival would succeed? The original piece--while I totally agree with you about the fantastic performances!--contains extremely outdated psychological theory and, in the name of shock and horror, hinges around the idea that children of violent people cannot escape their genetic predispositions. That's a dangerous hill to die on in 2018.

In adapting this piece for today, I think you'd not only hav

Evan Hansen SRO tickets  Sep 10 2018, 04:51:44 PM
It's rehearsal and totally fine. You don't TIE the kids to the box, you explain to them that this is something that they will have to do to see DEH and you will all find out together if everyone's bodies can handle it. The adults should participate too. If the kids report that they can't stand, no problem, off the box they go and the caregiver(s) have valuable information that their kid(s) are not able to stand comfortably for DEH. Much better to find out in the home with no stakes than at the s

Evan Hansen SRO tickets  Sep 10 2018, 12:33:56 AM
I'm 4'11" and the patron sitting in front of me when I did SRO for DEH wore her hair up (and I couldn't see over it at all). I asked an usher for a box and he brought me one with no issues because it was clear that I needed it, and I then had a perfect sight line to the stage.

A caution, though: SRO on a carpeted floor vs. on a wooden box are very different experiences. I was wearing comfortable sneakers, so a lot of walking, and am in good physical shape, and my feet, knees, and lower

Waitress rush update?  Aug 26 2018, 12:39:36 AM
Check Telecharge to see how well-sold it is. I went a few days ago (Thursday) at 9:00. There were 14 in front of us. Got rear orch, fantastic seats. All the rush were full-view, and they sold a lot of them. It was also Cast Recording Karaoke day, so there were more people rushing than usual on a weekday. I'd say it's worth a shot, and have a backup plan if not.

Dear Evan Hansen - Cancellation Line/Lottery/Ticketing Questions  Aug 22 2018, 12:12:04 PM
We did! The person in front of us wanted matinee and we wanted evening, so we were first in line for that performance. Got SRO spots 1 and 2. The girl in front of us got SRO for the mat. We didn't stick around to see what happened with the folks behind us. By 9:30 there were over 30 people in line.

DEH Taylor Vacation?  Aug 22 2018, 08:54:21 AM

Does anyone know if TT is scheduled to perform tonight (Wed, 8/22)? Or is he on vacation and that's why there are only 5 people in line for SRO at 9:00? Thanks!

Dear Evan Hansen - Cancellation Line/Lottery/Ticketing Questions  Aug 22 2018, 08:20:10 AM
If any ody wants an SRO update, we arrived at 7:25 and only one person was in front of us (Wednesday). By 8:20, only 2 more joined the line. One person said they only sell 4 SRO per show to the people on line. Another person said they've never seen the line so short. I'll update again with results.

Dear Evan Hansen - Cancellation Line/Lottery/Ticketing Questions  Aug 19 2018, 05:47:06 PM

Does anyone have an update on SRO for DEH? I'm planning to try for it this Wednesday and/or Thursday. Do people still line up early? Will they sell SRO for an evening show in the morning on a 2-show day? Did all the SROs go to the lotto, or did the cast changes affect that? Any updates would be appreciated! Thank you!

First-ever visit to the Lincoln Center  Aug 5 2018, 11:37:44 AM
The stairs at night leading up to LCT are all lit up. I like to check out the names sometimes, and it can be fun to photograph them with the fountain in the background with different apertures/ios settings to make really pretty lighting effects. The area is fabulous for photos in general.

Dogfight Playbill for Sale?  Jul 3 2018, 04:02:48 PM

NJGUY said: "Wow. Who knew? I am at point in my life, where I am looking to get rid of things and just spoke with my wife about cleaning out the Playbills that I have saved since 1969 (thousands). I definitely have the Dogfight Off-Broadway Playbill and I know I have Rent from Off-Broadway, Merrily We Roll Along (Original cast), plus so many more. Also, after my mother passed away, I took possession of her Playbills and have many Broadway Playbills from the 1960s and 1950s such as Or

I may have missed the original threads on its opening and reviews (which is odd since I've been around these boards for a long time, first as a reader only, and then as a contributor), but it seems like this show keeps chugging along, but no one ever seems to talk much about it.

Is it a good show? And if it's a good enough show to keep it on Broadway, why don&#

There is always a part of the curtain calls for the orch, I'm not sure what else you think should happen. I have, however, noticed that people seem more in tune with the orchestra than they used to be."

I totally agree that

Harry Potter Food App  Jun 18 2018, 08:45:18 PM

Someone please tell me that they deliver snacks during intermission or have some sort of after-part-I and/or before-part II window for delivery, and that people aren't getting deliveries and eating during the show....

Plot holes in good musicals  Jun 18 2018, 08:34:32 PM

poisonivy2 said: "Not really a plot hole but I always wondered how Eliza in the midst of all that was happening picked up the "27-A Wimpole St." address and what's more, was able to get there with no issues the very next morning. How could she afford the taxi?"

She could afford the taxi because Henry put a lot of money into her basket when she kicked it to him, saying, " 'ere, take the 'ole bloomin' basket for a sixpence!"
