And specifically for TOOTSIE, how close/far should one sit in the orchestra? Plus any recommendations for hotels near the theater would be appreciated (mid-range, not cheap but not pricey).

Thanks in advance and if I go on the 29th it would be great to meet others who might be there.

Seeing faces in Cursed Child?  Aug 26 2018, 02:53:35 PM

The c10 seats were cheaper but also this upcoming thurs/friday, and the person I usually stay with will be away. So I had to get a hotel, which kind of even its out with the 100$ more g1 seats. I still took it into consideration though, because it just felt weird paying more to be further back. I would've expected them to at least be equal (one close to the

Seeing faces in Cursed Child?  Aug 25 2018, 02:26:40 PM
It’s completely reasonable to overthink it given the prices! We were only going to be able to see it once and I think I went through 5 returns before I settled on my seats LOL. In addition to my vision I’m also short (as is my daughter) so you can only imagine how much overthinking I did! And since we aren’t local I had to buy in advance rather than play the odds of prices dropping as the date approached. My last return saved me $100 ($50 each) because I moved closer (H from L) but from cent

Seeing faces in Cursed Child?  Aug 25 2018, 02:03:53 PM

We sat in Row H in the 3rd and 4th seats from center aisle. I have less than stellar vision so I am always concerned about seating (unlike most people I can’t make out more subtle facial expressions even from a first row mezz in a smaller theater, and balconies are just completely out). I felt like I didn’t miss anything in H. So if you have normal or close to normal vision I don’t think you can go wrong in G, and the fact that it’s more centered and $100 less is just

BANDSTAND! - Fathom Events June 25th-28th  Jun 22 2018, 10:47:41 PM
Also, the tickets are sold via movietickets.com. You can search for Bandstand directly on that site as well.

BANDSTAND! - Fathom Events June 25th-28th  Jun 22 2018, 10:40:17 PM
I just went to Fathoms website and clicked on Bandstand - I entered my zip code and theaters near me popped up with a link to purchase tickets. Is it possible there may not be a theater near you showing it? I live in a mid-sized Midwest city but there are 3 theaters showing it within an easy driving distance.

On the43rd street side. You pass right in front of it if you line up along 43rd street to go into the theater.
"

Thanks! When facing the 43rd street public entrance, is the stage door on your left, or your right?

It will be to your right as you face the entrance

Celebrities not from the show coming out of the Stage Door  Jun 4 2018, 12:27:11 AM
James Cromwell at Dolls House Part 2, Bobby Cannavale at Falsettos and Joe Lo Truglio at Front Page, who also happened to be seated next to me during the play and was super nice. Cromwell smiled and waved to those waiting at stage door, Cannavale did not acknowledge anyone, but no one tried to engage him, either. Which I think is appropriate when a celeb is not in the show.

I have tickets for the Saturday matinee after the Tonys.  So sounds like I shouldn’t hope to see him even if he’s healthy? I heard he was missing a lot of shows lately but didn’t know if it was illness related/temporary or an actual predictable pattern.  How does that work with their cont

Partying with the stars of 'The Boys in the Band' on their opening night  Jun 1 2018, 09:28:23 PM
Is it just me or does Tina Fey literally look the opposite of “totally, totally happy to do it”?

At least he was somewhat self aware enough to notice Quinto not feeling it, but he goes for it anyway.

smh.

Tony Shalhoub  May 31 2018, 06:12:00 PM
I’m still holding out hope he’ll make a surprise appearance at the first performance after the Tonys when I have tickets. Probably silly of me but maybe?!??

While I can’t agree with that as a general rule, I will admit to being one of those people who is super disappointed when I get an understudy in a significant role (first thing I do is look for the “dreaded slip” and hold my breath until I see

Understudy-Palooza Weekend  May 29 2018, 10:50:39 AM
The only time I got to see Rent (other than the first couple of tours) Norbert Leo Butz was Adam Pascal’s understudy. In fact, I believe he was a swing. While there’s almost nothing that comes close to Adam’s rock tenor for me, Norbert was spectacular and made me forget that I wasn’t seeing Adam. And look at him now.

However, as someone who has to travels to NYC for Broadway fixes and can usually only see each show once as a result, I do understand that feeling of seeing a slip in

Same - I really enjoy his work and was hoping to see him in a couple of weeks.   Shouldn’t have assumed he had a one year contract (or even a 6).  I wish they hadn’t used the term “hiatus” in all the press releases - at least I would have known back in February that he wouldn’t be in in June

Telecharge’s message about Shalhoub on their site says “he’s leaving” the show to film, but will play select performances in May.  That sounds more final (and sadly for me seeing it in June, possibly more rea

broadwaynerdnewbie said: "Boys in the band producers brought the tickets and putthem on stubhub that is screwed up if true."

It’s the only possible explanation.  If you look on stubhub you’ll see that for each show 200-300 tickets are on up for sale (the theater capacity is only 776).  The vast majority are in the center orchestra and priced 2-4 times higher than face (even premium face).  I can’t imagine scal
