No it's not extensively rewritten, they added a few lines, cut maybe a couple and *I think* changed the position of the second interval. All its problems are still there.
So, I was at the first preview last Wednesday, and I really enjoyed it. For the purists, you won't find this production that different from any other revival of the show, because at the end of the day all the changings are pretty superficial. If on the one hand this production is not nearly as brave and groundbreaking as it could have been (or as it claims it is), on the other it preserves the meaning and dynamics of this beautifully written show withouth the cringiness often associated w

She hasn't been on yet, I think she's not even in London.
It's a play that's better when it's funny than when it's dramatic, it's hard to talk about it without spoiling it tho. It generalizes a bit too much on the point it tries to make and I felt like it gave it away poorly. Like, it momentarily raises an important question but then drifts aways on something else.
Sorry, I know it's generic, but it's really really hard not to spoil it. Try reading some London reviews.

It's clearly written with a New York audience in mind, I'm sure a transfer has always been the goal. Hopefully they will fix the second part, which at times feels a bit of a let down after the excellent first one.

I think it's unlikely. a part from the physical and emotive traumas, she will be very pregnant by then, she'd still need to leave London in the middle of the run.

It's not the full West Side Story, it's just the score, it's scheduled to last 76 minutes. But that's beyond the point, if you're doing WSS you should always a Latina Maria.
