It's Rachel Bay Jones's last show, so the line is probably going to be fuller than normal. There also might be less tickets show up for cancellation. Lining up at 10:30 PM is no longer the norm for this show.
Seems like they've changed the price points on a lot of tickets lately. I was checking a few dates for September, and a ton of the seats that have always been $199 are now $225 (a price I don't remember seeing on any non-premium seats before). The mid-premium seats have mostly jumped from $250 to $299. Looking later in the winter, though, it seems like most of the non-premium seats are back to $199.

I was on the other end (by the door) Saturday night, and it was fine. People were excited, but no one was shoving, trampling, etc. Everyone was really nice, passing up Playbills, letting people up if they wanted selfies, etc. All of the actors came out and signed, and I didn't see anyone get turned down for a picture, either. It was a nice audience and super nice actors.
I really don't get that. I saw nothing that was bordering on LGBT fetishism. Maybe I'm not watching this show with the right glasses, but this seems to be blown way out of proportion.

I went last night, and honestly, the crowd was fine. I would say it skewed younger overall, but there were certainly plenty of adults in attendance (and not just parents). There were a couple of times when the audience got a little too excited, but it wasn't anything like I was expecting after seeing this thread. I didn't see any of singing along or dancing that was mentioned here. I saw a few head bobs, but that was it.

You will enjoy the mezz seats. Sure, you're not as close to the emotions, etc., but there are also certain things you can see from the mezz that aren't really visible anywhere in the orchestra.. You just ask for the booster seats when you get to the theatre. Having four tickets will give you a chance to play around with the seats and find the best option for your 11 year old. Even if there's a super tall person in front of one of the seats, you'll have 3 other options for your little one.

If you're worried about language, I can think of 11 F-bombs and 5 sh*ts off the top of my head. The majority of them are in the first act. Other than that, though, there are only mild sexual and drug references. All of the sexual references are made in an obvious joking manner.
I've only seen Elizabeth Judd in the Hamilton ensemble, but I saw her several times as Wendla in Spring Awakening several years ago. She was really great, so I would love to see her in one of the sisters' roles in Hamilton.
