Saw this Saturday and found it thoroughly enjoyable, despite a technical glitch that briefly stopped the show. The cast are all pretty great, though Ms. Ang, Scardulla and Parra were the most interesting. Yes, it's a predictable, maybe thin book. Some, not all, of the music is the same format. So what? The appeal is genuine and original. Ms. Beyersdorfer's set is meant for a larger stage, but remarkable in its detail and precision. The Tigers deserve a life beyond Theatre 80. And that place need

It was originally set for four weeks at Ogunquit Playhouse. They had informed groups and subscribers. Suddenly, it was replaced by Cabaret. No reason given. Then the news about Huntington came up.
I was hooked from the beginning. Quincy Tyler Bernstine is wonderful! This is a well-crafted work about an important historical figure. Its larger theme, about how we view people paid to care for those we cannot or will not, will make some uncomfortable. So be it.

I have to agree with JBroadway. I went, interested by the little I had read about it. I left disappointed. The characters are poorly written and there's very little story here that's resonant.
