Anyone know of any changes made? I figured with a different preview schedule they'd at least try to make changes?

It'll be interesting to see what changes, if significant, are made from the first preview to opening night. 

Here's the question I always love to ask. Is there time (or desire from the creative team) to change what's needed before opening night? And if so, what are most necessary changes? 

A friend in casting told me Dreamgirls isn't dead, they just don't want to move forward without Riley who has TV and film projects in the works.

While we're talking about it, at one point I heard Demi Lovato was scrapping for Vanessa in ITH...Im hoping recent issues don't mess that up. 

JCS just scored 13 EMMY nominations, Im sure that was a nice carrot to dangle.

 

I wouldn't be shocked if from here on out JCS format is what NBC goes with. It was clearly a turning point for them.

Taylor Swift, James Corden, and Ian McKellan all signed on as well according to THR and Variety.

A producer friend has mentioned Dreamgirls is clamoring to get it. 

Was this well received on the West End?

Rumors have it Demi Lovato wants in on this....I'd vote yes on that.

Have formal plans been made to go to Broadway or is that still up in the air?

Also, why you want to sit on stage and have chance of missing Sonya's choreography is beyond me. 

Hollywood is whispering that Camila Cabello (sp?) is after the role of Anita and has met with Spielberg already.

There won't be an In The Heights revival for quite some time, all engines are going to get the movie out in 2020.

Believe it or not, I saw the original run with Fantasia as Celie and it's one of the most genuine and raw performances I've ever seen. SOBBED at "I Am Here."

 

Hate on it haters. 

1. No.

2. It is possible seeing there are MANY versions of this show.

3. That chair specifically is shipped around to NBC press events, so it's likely it was at one for her show and she sat in it. 

What is their motive for performing everywhere? Especially on "The View," performing Let It Go and giving away the biggest song of the show?

If they've already performed the hits what are they doing on the TONYS?

I wonder if there are other revivals quietly being worked on she's attached to?
