Bronx Tale Final Curtain Call  Aug 5 2018, 11:11:36 PM

haterobics - It just seemed odd to me that he’d not be performing the second to last show of the run. I could understand not doing the matinee on a Saturday, but it seemed odd to me to miss the Saturday evening. Also, I believe the website noted he would be doing that performance so the information between the website and the Playbill was off.

Bronx Tale Final Curtain Call  Aug 5 2018, 05:29:35 PM

The video is now able to be viewed here on the A Bronx Tale Facebook page.

I also really enjoyed the show and I didn't expect to considering I knew nothing of the movie/original source material but I ended up really loving it. I went last night for the third and final time on Broadway and will definitely be catching the tour in DC.

Oddly enough, Chazz was not in the show last

First-ever visit to the Lincoln Center  Aug 5 2018, 09:09:32 AM

I highly recommend checking out the Performing Arts Library which is right next door to the Vivan Beaumont so it's not far from your hotel or My Fair Lady. They always have very interesting exhibits and they from time to time will also have free concerts there as well. Also, depending on the day and the weather, definitely just soak up the beauty of the space because the campus of Lincoln Center is just beautiful (the fountain at night espe

Anyone know what happened to Taylor Trensch tonight?  Aug 4 2018, 12:52:13 AM

Most instances I’ve seen where an understudy or standby has taken over midshow they slip into the show as its going and an announcement is made prior to the end of intermission. I’m sure it varies show to show and also depends on how long it may take the person in question to be ready to go on and/or how bad the situation is.

Anastasia/ Christy?  Aug 1 2018, 11:41:56 PM

Here is a picture of the new Playbill:

I would be shocked if Christy left any time in the near future because she loves the show and role so much.

Dear Even Hansen Maggie McKenna  Jul 29 2018, 10:45:37 PM

As Ethan noted, the tour hasn't started yet - the first performance will be on September 25th in Denver.

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Tour  Jul 29 2018, 04:34:49 PM

Agreed, Gink, agreed. The show itself was a huge mess, but the demise of the kids really is the first thing I recall and am still not over. I hated how the book basically left Charlie and his family in the original movie compared to the other kids being a direct connection to more of the Tim Burton movie because their timelines did not match up. Also, the score was pretty dreadful sans the classic songs from the film and a very small handful of the new songs.

Most creative/interesting curtain calls you've seen?  Jul 29 2018, 03:05:00 PM

I loved the Legally Blonde [Remix] mini reprise that the company would sing at curtain call.

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Tour  Jul 29 2018, 02:56:07 PM

ChairinMain - I believe in previews they had a scene at the end showing the kids being okay, but it was cut. I do hope they also put a scene like that in for the tour because as it stands there's no way Veruca or Violet lived to see another day while you could make a case for Augustus and Mike is fine just tiny.

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Tour  Jul 29 2018, 10:30:33 AM

I couldn't see the majority of the kids around me during that moment, but I was just absolutely stunned by it. I've heard they're reworking things for the tour and I hope something is done with that scene because it's just horrifying. Why not go the route of the original movie and have her fall down the Bad Nut shoot or even if you're going for the more Tim Burtonesque route have the squirrels carry her off like they do in the remake.

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory Tour  Jul 29 2018, 10:10:50 AM

I will truly never forget those scenes with the demises of Violet and Veruca, especially Veruca because that was absolutely horrifying. I was in complete shock the entire time during the Veruca sequence, because I just couldn't believe it was happening and that families had brought their kids to this.

I know someone going out on the tour and I wasn't planning on seeing this again, but I'm definitely going to see them in it.

HEAD OVER HEELS Previews  Jul 28 2018, 10:30:31 AM

It's highly doubtful it'll happen but I would really like a cast album because the arrangements of the songs were great and the cast sang the hell out of the music.

HEAD OVER HEELS Previews  Jul 28 2018, 09:48:42 AM

I saw the show on Wednesday afternoon and I liked it, but with a better book, I feel like I would have loved it. The show feels right in my wheelhouse - campy, over the top, and ridiculous but the book with the muddled Shakespearean language dragged down the show for me. The cast is very talented and I actually felt like the Go Go's music worked well in context, but the book was very messy. Was there some good moments of the book? Yes, but ultimately I felt the overuse of the Shakespearea

Mean Girls- Principal Attendance  Jul 16 2018, 08:08:06 AM
Elegance - Thank you for that. I was really hoping to see Tee as Gretchen at some point when she’s on so I’m glad that still will be possible.

Book of Mormon in person lottery  Jul 16 2018, 08:01:36 AM

The first 14 are front row while the additional seats can be all over.

Some of the additional seats may have a slight limited view but it is just entrances and exits. I’ve sat in the rear orchestra and boxes and never felt like I missed anything. It really comes down to if you’d prefer to sit or stand, but no matter which you choose will have a fine view in my opinion.

Anyone have theatre ticket stub hub success before?  Jul 15 2018, 05:59:29 PM

I used StubHub to see The Band's Visit right before the Tony nominations and had no issues with my E-ticket.

Love, Simon as a Musical  Jul 15 2018, 03:18:04 PM

I would absolutely love for this to become a musical at some point. I love the movie as well as the novel the movie is based on and I feel like with the right team it could be great.

Book of Mormon in person lottery  Jul 15 2018, 02:24:27 PM

Depends on the day the number of people but I definitely suggest getting in the standing room line if you want to make sure you get to see the show. The lotto person will come over to the standing room and give out slips so you can enter lotto, but also remain in your spot in line.

How do you feel about theatre-goers who rush the same show constantly?  Jul 15 2018, 11:50:44 AM

^But that is completely the opposite of the person this thread is about. The person the OP is trying to shame due to petty jealousy has done absolutely nothing worthy of being deemed insane. Has she seen the show many times? Yes. Does she consider herself friends with the cast? No. The gifts she has given them were little things that were congratulations on going on in a role or on the Tony nominations and weren't that big of a deal. I will never understand why people feel the need to jud
