Drama Book Shop closing next year Oct 24

It makes me very sad to hear that people would go into the store, utilize the staff, then go purchase elsewhere. I always buy all my scripts from the Drama Book Shop. It's my favorite place to visit on payday! I make amazon purchases semi-often, too, but have made a point to never order a play from Amazon, and always patronize the Drama Book Shop.

For Ferryman Friday (10/12): 2 tickets in Mezz B 17 & 19 (or 15 & 17, I can't quite recall) Amazing seats. Not even all the way to the side!

Saw this last evening. Ivo was there. What an amazing use of space. While it was not my favorite thing I've ever seen, I'm really glad I caught it. The supertitles were easier to read than I had prepared myself for. They did fly by quickly and I found myself beginning to get frustrated that I had missed something. I had to choose in the moment to be ok with missing the ends of a few lines and trust that the sentiment would not be lost.
Just really wonderful staging. Very uncomf

Oh boy. I went for last row, dead center instead of halfway up on the sides. I don't have the greatest vision, so I'm nervous about the subtitles now, but still very excited for the performance. Will be there tomorrow evening.

My bf doesn't know much about theater and he's trying to learn more. This medley had him SO confused. I can't be mad that he now thinks ALW wrote Chicago & West Side Story and Chita Rivera played Eva Peron & Grizabella.

So interesting, Jarethan. My bf and I looked at eachother after OOTI's performance and said, "well now we HAVE to see it."
Pretty sure she sat behind me at Peace For Mary Frances the other evening. She showed up 20 minutes into the show, and immediately began ruffling a shopping bag and a big (soft) lunch box. She would zip and unzip the lunchbox so slowly as if that wasn't just prolonging the noise. She moved her shopping bag countless times. She dropped her cane behind my seat into our row. The stranger sitting next to me and I scowled back at her multiple times. At intermission
Doubt was the only play to come to mind that was omitted here.
Re: August Wilson, I think only 3 of his Century Cycle plays were eligible as 1993 is the beginning of the period they're looking at. (Seven Guitars, King Headley II, & Radio Golf.)

I tried posting this earlier this morning, but I am unable to begin a new thread. Perhaps it has something to do with our work computers. (Also I can't access the spoiler box, or underline/italicize options, etc)
Anyway. This list is so great, yet makes me so angry at the same time. So many of these plays were on my radar, but I ended up going with others on my list at the time. Does anyone else have those productions that they forever kick themselves for not seeing?
I just bought 2 tickets to Peace For Mary Frances through TDF. When I went to the New Group's website, it looks like there are a lot of partial-view-seats in this configuration.
