To be fair...if that picture of the set is supposed to be the prom itself, it looks an awful lot like my high school prom's decorations. Of course, that was 1984... Willing to give Scott Pask the benefit of the doubt until I see it for myself.

And while I appreciate Hamilton, I find it over staged and pretentious. I get the casting thing, I really do. But it isn't really that revolutionary for any other reason. That said, I'm looking forward to seeing it again. Now that i know what I'm dealing with maybe I can just enjoy it on its own merits.

The post office has priority mail boxes free of charge. If you want to ship it home, it will cost you about $19, but if you want to take it on the plane, this is what I do.
What a relief, then, that it will only be around temporarily, no matter what the reviews are. If you think it sucks, it may even close early. If you think it is great, then you can lament that it's only a limited engagement. The best of both worlds.
I'm not sure why people are always at the ready to predict doom for OOTI other than a hatred for its producer. In terms of Gross Potential, sure it could be better, but it's not disastrously low, either. And while they are surely getting discounts, there is apparently a decent amount of audience for the show with 97% capacity. (And, yes, I know capacity has little to do with the economic numbers, blah blah blah. I'm just saying it's not like no one is seeing it.)
* 1st Broadway show: Mame revival in 1983. I was 17. I had done tons of theater in high school, but seeing that show changed my life forever. My first show, my first time seeing the great Angela Lansbury, my first flop. I've had a big place in my heart for both Ms. Lansbury and flops ever since.
