Who could be coming into Waitress post-McPhee? Jul 20

I know that she just began performances in Wicked, and is likely contracted for a year, but I think that Jessica Vosk would be a fantastic Jenna if Waitress is still running when she’s done with Wicked and is available.
Broadway shows require millions and millions of dollars in capital investments to get off the ground, and a star like Julie would likely command a hefty paycheck. I don't think that this would ever happen.
I said this in the Margaritaville Closing thread as well... the Marquis doesn't seem to be a house for hits. I believe that On Your Feet was its longest runner since Millie closed almost a decade and a half ago.
The Marquis really does need a hit - correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that On Your Feet was the longest running show there since Millie closed in '04.
Can a creative team member be fired after the show is open? May 23

I don’t know if it’s happened, but it seems pretty unlikely - once a show is open, a director/choreographer/etc has done all of their work and have little involvement beyond occasional returns for brush-ups/notes. Firing and hiring a new director or choreographer would mean revamping the show pretty heavily, and most shows tend to be “frozen” once they open - meaning that new major changes no longer happen.

I’m sad to see her go, but I will echo the above comments saying that she lived a long and full life - she will certainly be missed, but passing on at 103 is not a tragedy or something that I will despair over. She made great contributions to the theatre and her performances live on. What a great lady. We were lucky to have her.

I adored Anderson in The Sound of Music. I imagine that she would be wonderful in this as well.

I get misty and teary often, though the only two shows that have ever made me full-out cry were Tuck Everlasting and Finding Neverland (the latter of which had me sobbing, shaking, and gasping for the entire final twenty minutes, as well as for a longer amount of time than I care to admit after the show had ended).
