there are no new songs. he wrote a new song just for the end credits.
Countless end credits songs have won the Oscar for Best Song so Lin-Manuel is obviously hoping for this consideration as the songs from the musical don’t qualify.

After Tuesday, EVERY movie house will be playing the new version. Today Sunday is its debut and for theatres that couldn’t download it their hardcopy arrives Tuesday.

Indeed. I watched the filmed stage version earlier and WOW! After this CGI mess in the cinematic film adaptation, seeing the actors in painted leotards and fur was now on another level. You truly appreciate the make-up desig
As someone who works in the fashion industry, he’s pretty much old news. He was among the “celebrity” performers at The Blonds show done on the MOULIN ROUGE: The Musical stage during NYFW in September 2019 and that’s pretty much the extent of his relevant work. His Netflix reality series CHASING CAMERON was in 2016 - literally 4 years ago. Riding on this popularity he was being photographed for numerous fashion editorials but his flavor of the month was done around 201

Whats amusing is he doesn’t mention the word bootleg or mention anything about illegal jargon. All he wrote was about the filmer thinking they’re so entitled to do as they please without caring about being distracting to other audience members as well as the actors on stage.
Hilarious how everyone took it elsewhere. Hahaha.

Producers don’t honor time off during the holidays as this is a peak time in ticket sales. You’ll start seeing vacations being taken shortly after the New Year. Everyone is required to do their contracted performances.
Based on Hooper continuing to apologize for the CGI work, expect work to continue on it. There definitely will be an entirely different design for the DVD/Blu-ray/Digital release.
He said in an interview they were still doing tweaks to the CGI hours before the film’s premiere the other night. WTF?
Y’all gotta remember, the film adaptation of IN THE HEIGHTS was greenlit by Universal in November 2008, shortly after the Broadway production opened. Kenny Ortega was set to direct the film, which was slated to begin filming in Summer 2011. Then suddenly the project was canceled in March 2011 while casting was in full motion and preproduction had begun.
So, even if a project is announced and moving along, anything can happen. Until they are on set and cameras are rolli

That pop-up video also affects computer performance as it eats up memory if you keep the BWW website open on your browser as the video screen is playing non-stop in the background. Videos don’t stop playing.
Exactly. She’s a standby which means she’s not required to be at the theatre at all. She reports daily to the stage manager to check-in and that’s it. In the event she is needed, she’s responsible to head to the theatre immediately. An understudy already performs another role in the show so they’re at the theatre each performance unless they called out.
Jessetenny said: "Given the release date, do we think this movie will campaign for The Oscars? Any guesses on early potential nominations? Oscars 2021 are looking VERY musical with WSS, ITH and The Prom."
All films campaign for Oscar consideration. Even films that have received zero nominations did campaign during awards season.
Numerous Oscar winning films were released during the summer which worked in their favor as by the time awards season kic
Not only that, but Lin-Manuel Miranda was heavily involved with ALL aspects of the film from castings, rehearsals to filming. He was on set EVERY day and worked alongside the film’s director Jon M. Chu who used him as a reference consultant. Nothing in the film was done without Lin-Manuel’s involvement. Any liberties taken were with his blessings and approval. Many being his own ideas as well.

Well, Taylor Swift was nominated this morning for a Golden Globe for Best Song “Beautiful Ghosts” in CATS. Expect an Oscar nomination as well. Doubt she’ll win but heck, she’s nominated.
Wow! This truly brought tears towards the end. What a beautiful addressing of the issue of theater etiquette. LuPone would post this on social media if she could. She’s always vocal about the exact same things mentioned o
