Hello all, if you've been following this thread, you know that it has devolved into quite a bit of a mess over the past 12 hours. As some of you have noted, we have deleted all of the posts from that period that were not about the topic at hand, but were instead focused on arguing with a particularly antagonistic poster. While we would rather not delete that many posts, it had take the thread so far afield from the topic at hand, we felt it necessary.

Hi all, while there is likely zero chance that "Dear Evan Hansen" will close any time soon, we don't see any reason to close the thread just yet. From our perspective, and as others have politely pointed out, the OP's question probably comes from at least a nugget of contractual truth, even if the likelihood of it happening is practically nonexistent.

goldenstate5, since you asked publicly, your message was not edited for the use of the word "jeeeeez," it was edited because of the personal insult that followed it about posters who had been vocal with their dislike of the show. We thought that since the remainder of your message did not violate the board's rules that this was a better option than deleting the entire post. I hope that clears up the confusion.

By the way, "jeeeeez" is a perfectly acceptable word

As we have said in the past, discussing a performer's attendance is completely acceptable on the board, as it certainly serves the purpose of informing other theatregoers of important information. Obviously that will elicit a myriad of feelings from different people, and that is fine as well.

Alright, everybody, I think that this conversation has run it's course, and everyone has had their opinion heard. For the most part, it was civil (while still heated), and we only had to remove a couple of posts that crossed the line. For that, we are grateful!

Hi all, first, we want to thank you for keeping this discussion civil, despite it being pretty spirited. However, this thread is supposed to be about "A Star is Born," and it not winning at last night's Golden Globes. While the conversation of Lady Gaga (and other artists) and R.
