Do we think there's any chance ever of a Producers revival?  Oct 25 2018, 01:05:43 PM
If Lane and Broderick agreed to a reprise, I think the ticket sales would go thru the roof.

Andrea Mcardle  Oct 23 2018, 11:35:19 AM
In 1982 and 1985 respectively, she made a pair of appearances at the Milwaukee Melody Top; firstly in a charming and well-sung Meet Me in St. Louis, and then 3 years later as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.
Many years later, in 1995, she was part of a rehashed ensemble - several too old for their roles - in DOA State Fair.
She still sang well, but too old for the ingénue.

Its modest audiences notwithstanding, HOH could possibly rack up a pretty decent run performance-wise; due to this apparent "angel".

West End Lengends we want on Broadway  Oct 19 2018, 11:59:30 AM
Oh, for the days when I witnessed Anna Neagle, Rex Harrison, Tommy Steele, Colin Blakely, Michael Crawford, Janet Suzman, Nigel Davenport, Michael Gambon, Nigel Hawthorne, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Wilfred Hyde White, John Mills, Jill Bennett, Ralph Richardson, Celia Johnson, Donald Sinden, Maggie Smith, Robert Stephens, Edward Fox, Judi Dench, Richard Johnson, Deborah Kerr, Paul Scofield, Ben Kingsley, Glynis Johns and Kenneth More trod those well-worn British boards...

Not if you saw him backstage --- where he would frequently walk around completely naked.Nothing "disappointing" in that department!
"

That could only be surpassed by one thing:

Seeing Will Chase walk around backstage completely nake

Pretty Woman lookin' mighty purdy.

The Full Monty, definitely.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, somewhat less definitely.

When was Carol Channing's last Dolly?  Oct 7 2018, 11:07:37 AM
I saw her in August 1994 at the then-Shubert Theatre in Chicago. It was the final performance.
I was there as part of a theater party
for The Chicago Drama League. After the curtain call, we waited for a brief time for her to come back out on stage in order for her to present some large, fake diamonds to some members of the group. In the meantime, the company manager stood on stage and answered any questions we had. Then she emerged, completely dressed in black, and after a minute

Dear Evan Hansen- Toronto Cast?  Oct 2 2018, 01:39:59 PM

Call_me_jorge said: "Any ideas who might be involved in the Toronto production of Dear Evan Hansen? I wonder if they’ll cast the show out of Toronto and Canada or bring in Americans."

_jorge:

Residents of Canada are classified under the heading of North AMERICANS.

Perhaps you meant to say " I wonder if they'll... bring in performers from the UNITED STATES. "

Yes.
They became strippers.

Rare Broadway Bootlegs  Sep 22 2018, 07:57:56 PM
Krueger also had possession of some film footage of the 1940 Hold On To Your Hats with Al Jolson and Martha Raye - I think in color.
Give both my balls to see it.

Glynis Johns - 95th Birthday on October 5th  Sep 21 2018, 07:49:14 PM
Only saw her on stage once, and that was in London in 1977 in a play called Cause Celebre. Both she and the play - an enveloping courtroom drama - were excellent.

Would Jesse Eisenberg be a big enough name for a Parade Revival?  Sep 19 2018, 10:41:15 AM
Does anyone know if Mark Zuckerberg can sing, and would he sell tickets?
At 34, he's definitely the right age.

He even resembles the real Leo Frank.
