I did see them in SLC. I thought Erin was great. Mariand not so much, but then again I saw Jackie Burns the week before. Erin was certainly an upgrade to the cast. I would have loved to have seen Jackie Burns and Erin on stage together.
I visit NYC about twice per year. When I am in town, I usually see 6-8 shows. If I like a show, I will usually see it at least twice with the original cast. After that, it’s unlikely I will see it again unless I catch it on tour.
Shows like Wicked, I have seen numerous times on tour as it is hard not to go when there is Broadway talent in town.
Phantom, I will seen multiple times on Broadway as it is a long running classic and is the only show that offers a Thursda

I repeat the sentiments already said. If the original cast was still on stage, I would say it’s worth it. Sadly, it is hit and miss what you find on stage today. Oftentimes, you cannot understand what is being said onstage.
Is it overhyped? Absolutely. Is it the show of the decade? Absolutely.
My best advice is to buy the OBC recording. If it’s your cup of tea, then go to the show. If not, save your money and buy tickets to a show you will enjoy.
How much effort is there by productions to maintain the quality of casting and performances of the original cast?
I saw Wicked on tour last night. I thought a few of the actors were just going through the motions and didn't give much effort. I thought Kara Lindsay's performance in Popular was subpar at best. How much are the actors and the performances critiqued by the Stage Directors or even Producers themselves?

I was sitting on the aisle. My girlfriend was sitting in between. I think you complimented her on her hat. Lol.
I was there in the first row. I think I was sitting one seat over from Miles2Go2. Unfortunately, I didn't know it at the time. It was great but no speeches at the end. You could see a few tears in their eyes at the end.

Kerstin Anderson played Eliza tonight. She had an incredible performance. I wouldnt let Benanti being out detour you from enjoying the show.
I saw Ambrose and I am almost inclined to say I preferred Kerstins performance over Ambrose.
