Have many people been lucky to win the My Fair Lady fan day lottery? I received my winning notification yesterday and I'm excited to go. The tix are $39. Did they send out loser notifications as well?

When did this change? I understood that standing room was only sold through the lottery. Is this no longer the case? is standing room now sold by lottery in addition to box office?

The title is a clue: "All the Sad Young Men" from "The Nervous Set"...the song is awfully beautiful and heartbreaking. Mabel Mercer sang it and many others subsequently.

they do have rush..$39. you would need to get there ahead of box office opening. check for time when they open...it may be noon.

Was Gavin able to play a critic's performance? The BWW critic refers to his performance...I don't know which performance he saw, but I understand Gavin was not able to do the Sunday performance and was not there Wed.mat. Which performance did Gavin play?
susieqt: if it's your birthday and you are willing to line up at 6 AM, couldn't you go to Dolly? It's your birthday and you really should see a good show.
It's a 2 performance day so it's fair to consider that half of the line will be purchasing the evening performance. Once they sell standing room, they offer $59 balcony tix, so you almost certainly could get those if standing room is sold.
The question surprised me because the answer is so obvious, Dolly is a tremendously warm character and there is no warmer performer than Bette who brings a tremendous amount of heart and affection to the stage. No current performer comes close....you would have to look to Carol Channing, Judy Holliday, Mary Martin or possibly Gwen for comparable personalities. Patti is definitely not part of this group. Patti can be brilliant, but is far chillier as a performer
I think the permutations made in trying to judge this situation are fascinating but I feel the matter is essentially very simple when you consider "intent". Theaters have distributed complimentary tickets since the Greeks and the intention has always been to invite the recipient to see the show as a guest.
