His review is saying he preferred The Prom, Mean Girls and Dear Evan Hansen to Be More Chill. Not sure why this BMC review board has turned into a The Prom trashing board.
After NYT and others panned Be More Chill I think there only noms could be Featured Actor (George Salazar or Jason Tam?), lighting and score. Really the score got trashed too but Beetlejuice is the only possible competition for the 4th slot right?
Anyone else just happy that there probably don’t be a sweep this year? Like I think hadestown will win best musical but not lead actor or actress, or best book.
Most people who saw tootsie in Chicago say Lilli Cooper’s role isn’t big enough to be a lead. I’m hoping they beef up her role either way because I think for tootsie to succeed it has to have more than Santino.

The only thing standing in Hadestown’s way might be that the aspects some tony voters disliked about Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 might also be found in Hadestown. I really think Beth Leavel will get a nom. Her belting alone plus shes really hilarious. The only potential issue is if her and Caitlin split the Prom votes.
