Not to add fuel to the fire, but when Ambrose announced she would be dropping a performance it was stated to spend time with family. It was probably clear her dad was dying and with being a lead in a broadway show you dont have much time to begin with. Im glad she dropped a show, so she was able to spend a couple last moments with her father.

I have said this before in another thread, but the sad truth is this show isn't selling. This can be the next hamilton but barley any tickets have been sold. They need good word of mouth or a whole new marketing campaign.

The only nominations I see be more chill getting is Best musical, a nomination for George Salzer, and lighting design. A few months ago they would have been getting all of the awards etc, but with Tootsie and Beetlejuice having pretty good word of mouth, just like the prom, I doubt be more chill will be around come tony time.
