I am with Jordan on this one. To suggest this is a flop is odd. There is so much smart writing, great composing, inventive direction, and a cast that just knocks it out of the park- this is not a case of so bad it’s good. This is good good. I was also at the Friday 13th evening performance. You got the wrong name of the king. That was Jeremy Kushnier of Footloose fame. I could have done without all his homophobic gestures to get laughs from the audience.
The songs are the real highlight here. The duet between Pamela and her handmaid is the highlight of Act One, I thought. Nothing else really lands. The show is terribly uneven as far as pacing goes. Some songs end with applaus
