Ferryman Rush  Oct 23 2018, 11:12:00 AM

Last Wednesday (10/17) I arrived around 11am after my flight was delayed and they had standing room seats for the evening performance (a press night). For a 3+ hour show, standing room was not bad at all with a great view and a banister to lean on.

Ferryman Rush  Oct 7 2018, 10:15:19 AM

Has anyone rushed the Ferryman yet and want to share the details? (Where seats are, how many tickets are available, what time you got there etc) Thanks!

Tootsie - Chicago tryout  Sep 25 2018, 10:50:28 AM

I agree 100% that Broadway desperately needs more disabled representation, both on and off-stage, and very much needs to stop casting abled actors to play disabled ro

Yes, in the musical he’s helping her rehearse for an audition for Nurse in Juliet’s Curse (a musical comedy sequel to Romeo and Juliet) and then auditions for the part himself.

The same thing happened to me last night for Torch Song and Mockingbird.

Tootsie - Chicago tryout  Sep 16 2018, 08:19:00 PM

Also, Dorothy is only ever called Tootsie once in a total throw-away line, but called Honey and the like over and over. I saw it with a friend who even missed that line and turned to me afterward to ask why it's titled Tootsie. I don't remember the movie well enough to know if it's more motivated there, but this seems like a case of just using the movie title for name recognition.

Tootsie - Chicago tryout  Sep 16 2018, 08:15:28 PM

I saw Saturday's matinee as well and was shocked how much I loved it. Santino Fontana is magnetic and hilarious in this role and has the audience eating out of his hand.  John Behlmann as the hot hunk rivals Santino in comedic timing.

It was also tremendous fun seeing Leslie Donna Flesner step in for Sarah Stiles. The cast applauded her performance and during the group bow, Lilli gave her the biggest smile that was the icing on the cake for me.

I really

Marin Mazzie Has Passed Away  Sep 15 2018, 12:00:25 AM
I’m curious if anyone knows why the Lyric will not be dimming its light as the theater where she originated Mother in Ragtime (then the Ford Center).

Shows that Seem Better on the Cast Recording than Seeing it Live  Sep 4 2018, 01:00:44 PM
The recording of “Big Fish” is one of my favorite recordings out there, but the production itself didn’t thrill me as much.

Help prioritize my shows  Sep 3 2018, 07:30:04 PM

Once on this Island is definitely my favorite out of this list so I'd highly recommend it. Cursed Child is a unique experience that won't be replicated well, so I recommend that as well. I enjoyed Mean Girls, so I'd put that up there.  If you haven't seen Come From Away yet, I'd recommend adding that you list too.  Pretty Woman, Frozen, and Kinky Boots were are enjoyable, but bland in my opinion.

Zaks & ROTTEN! team to work on DOUBTFIRE musical  Aug 28 2018, 12:47:27 PM

Norbert Leo Butz or Brian D'Arcy James would both be great, but I'm hoping for Christopher Fitzgerald.

Laura Benanti to replace Lauren Ambrose in MY FAIR LADY  Aug 23 2018, 10:58:21 AM

I have LincTix for earlier in October. Does anyone know if they'll allow me to swap them for available LincTix later in Laura Benanti's run?

Yiddish Fiddler at the Museum of Jewish Heritage  Aug 14 2018, 12:09:10 PM

Can anyone give any advice on the seating chart and stage height? The premium seats seem to be sporadically placed throughout the house with the first row just $75. I'm inclined to get front row but wanted to know if anyone would recommend opting for rear seats instead.

Recommending a Show for a Friend  Aug 12 2018, 08:40:50 PM

I'd also recommend Come From Away, but from the sound of the group I think Dear Evan Hansen would also be a sure bet.

Best understudy you've ever seen?  Aug 8 2018, 09:15:30 PM

Nicole Van Giesen as Big Alison in Fun Home. She was truly phenomenal.

Come From Away Obstructed View  Aug 6 2018, 07:43:12 PM

My rush tickets were printed as Obstructed View (Row D stage right) and I didn't miss a single thing as most everything happens center stage. Not sure if all obstructed view tickets are created equally though.

Mean Girls vs. Once on this Island  Jul 29 2018, 02:07:24 PM

Wildcard said: "Mean Girls on tour will appear much like the Broadway Production. Once on This Island can only be experienced in NY in its current iteration."

THIS. I can’t imagine what a tour of OOTI would look like, but there will uncountable modifications. Mean Girls will likely be a replica.

Mean Girls vs. Once on this Island  Jul 29 2018, 02:05:06 PM
Once on this Island hands down. I really enjoyed Mean Girls and had a great time, but Once on this Island is truly special. The production is really unique and original and the one act show flies by.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA: The Musical  Jul 16 2018, 08:44:09 PM

I could see Ashley Parks as a great Emily too. Shoba Narayan would make an excellent Andy in my opinion.
