Frozen Cast Recording May 11

With all due respect, this is a big lush orchestra. Where was the Tony nomination for orchestrations? That was a gross oversight IMO. They sound gorgeous.
Not for nothing, but if this cast goes to Broadway (who knows of course), it will be Brooklyn Shuck's 6th Broadway show. Isn't she just 13? Impressive.

You can hear a lot of different things from a lot of different people. Personally outside of James Iglehart and the big spashy Gotta Have A Friend Like Me number, I thought Aladdin was dull as nails...and overall I enjoyed Frozen more.
And I really don't know how you can make this comment and then later suggestions on how Frozen would be better having never seen it. Nothing person
Actually I found it at the Live from Lincoln Center website. Click on episodes and there is link for Stephanie J Block. The first video listed is the preview. The second is the concert.

That being said, the play wasn't about a lawyer dealing with his racist tendencies, it was just about a man being put in a position of doing what's right for somebody even if he doesn't fully understand it and even if it puts his family in a bad position. Really, that's what Lee's Atticus is too. Sor

As mentioned previously, he has changed the character of Atticus who now starts out as a bigot and grows into the character that readers saw when reading TKAM. Lee did show us this character in the more recent "Watchman" book (which was written first but not published until recently) but this i

I hate Rudin as much as the next guy, but I'm gonna feel real bad for the man if this gets shut down."
Wasn't Rudin the one who orig

I have no interest in seeing this personally but I'm a strong believer in ignoring what you read on message boards and even with reviews. Or at least reading them without placing too much importance on them. I often enjoy things I don't expect to enjoy and dislike things that got raves. If you are interested to go, you should go and make up your own mind.
That said you just read my comment on a message board, so feel free to ignore it.

I've seen Jessie, Sara and Betsy and Sara is the one who makes this one of the great 11 o'clock numbers in recent musical theater history. Jessie and Betsy have amazing voices but their versions lack the strength of character that Sara exudes.
Actually I think "She Used to Be Mine" will eventually join Rose's Turn, I'm Here, Send in the Clow
While I agree it would be fun to have an orchestra experience, I would also agree with the earlier comment that said Frozen should be seen from the front mezz. You get a better view of some of the animated projections used that are seen on the stage floor

It was recorded this past December I believe.
I went to the Stephanie Block one in December and thought it was much better and more engaging. That's coming on in two weeks.

I'm hearing that Katherine McPhee, the new lead in Waitress, is especially good, by the way!"
Nothing against Katharine but she's only been in for three shows so far. Every actress who has played Jenna has been especially

Hmmm. I'm trying to look at this as a positive as you seem to be doing, but for the life of me I can only seem to interpret that comment as "her acting is really dull"."
Really? That's an odd interpretation. IMO Jessie was definitely
I would get rid of Carousel. It's a revival and there will always be another one. Personally I'm really not a fan of (as stated in the most recent April 2018 Playbill)..."Peck (choreographer) diligently looked at what de Mille created for the original and Sir Kenneth MacMillan for the1994 revival that made Audra McDonald a star - them promptly shelved it and started from scratch." Throwing out what is great is not what drags me to the theater. Ugh.
