I was rushing waitress Saturday, and was watching the Band's Visit line. When I arrived to waitress at 7:30, there was 1 person. At 8:30, there was two. Then, around 9:30 a HUGE group of people randomly left Buffalo Wild Wings and went into the line. There were probably 15-20 people when the box office opened.
It was freezing. Like, borderline couldn't take it, and I'm from far up north.
I arrived at about 7:30am for the night show, and was 14th in line. I am not sure how many wanted matinee tickets, though.
The next person joined 10 minutes after, and by 8:15 the line was down to the irish pub. By 9, it was down to the end of the street. It was LONG. At least 40 people.
He definitely did! Anastasia is my favorite show of all time, and if possible, i would go back to see him in his run. I was truly impressed by him. He hit the note in My Petersburg perfectly, and I could barely notice the key change (and I've listened to this song 250ish times, according to iTunes).
This was my third time seeing the show (saw Derek twice), but I saw Cody on Saturday.
To be honest, I'm not sure if I was just surprised that he wasn't as awful as everyone as saying, or if he was good. Either way, he definitely exceeded my expectations. His voice was weak at times, yes, but he was fine and a good actor.
The people with me didn't notice his accent, but I did.

I barely heard anything regarding this show, and am very active in the theatre community so I was shocked at how good it was!
Don't get me wrong, not a very well written show. At all. But, I did walk out humming 3 different melodies, which was 3 more than I was expecting. It was very enjoyable, and entertaining.

I saw the DEH matinee a year ago (they had an emergency alert throughout NYC) and all they did was inform us that about 13 minutes into the show our phones would go off, so completely shut them off. They put a slip into our playbills as well.
It happened in the middle of waving, and they hiked up the volume a lot. Like, piercingly loud. I actually didn't hear any phones from the back mezz (not sure if this was because of the sound, or everyone listened) bu

Yeah, I was in row G and I felt any closer and my neck would have been horizontal.
