Be More Chill Off-Broadway Official Thread  Aug 7 2018, 02:32:39 AM
So, Jenn, have you been lurking here? Or is this post simply ~coincidence~

https://www.facebook.com/808236/posts/10107802707019389/

P.S: This is a joke but seriously I've heard of producers coming to the broards so it wouldn't be a stretch

Be More Chill Off-Broadway Official Thread  Aug 3 2018, 07:55:46 PM
In theory, if this were looking to Broadway and the exact same amount of people came to see the show, it could play for 20 performances in the smallest house. Do you think they could do a month Broadway special to make everybody lose their minds to get tickets?

Be More Chill Off-Broadway Official Thread  Aug 3 2018, 06:32:54 PM
As I said before about this selling out, I hope it transfers to somewhere else off Broadway. I would be terrified to see this in a Broadway house, not just because of the issues with the ensemble being confusing, and not filling the house, but the fact that having so many fans in the room at once.

According to a friend who saw it on Tuesday, they removed that part and replaced it with a hug. It's for the better and feels a lot less like fan service.

I have an odd feeling that if this is true they would want to be at second stage. Simply because their set is very similar to Hansen, and it would be an easy transfer to there. They'd also take that route because since Hansen and Chill fans ar

Ben Cook/Mean Girls Stage Door?  Aug 2 2018, 08:03:45 PM
The way you described yourself sounded like you were significantly older than Cook. No misunderstanding intended, but the response sounded kind of strange. The math doesn't match up (as Ellie said) but I am not touching that ¯\_('_')_/¯

Ben Cook/Mean Girls Stage Door?  Aug 2 2018, 06:44:18 PM

So let me get this straight- Middle aged fangirl wants to meet Ben Cook at the stagedoor because... If you want a playbill signed by him, mail for a full cast one and you get one signed by everybody. If you want to interact with him, send fanmail (he doesn't respond often though) and otherwise, I have no idea what you would want to do. I find it kind of creepy if this woman who must be significantly older than him is chasing after him in real life.

Be More Chill Off-Broadway Official Thread  Aug 1 2018, 11:42:44 PM

So I'm looking on the ticket's website for a friend and... all tickets got their prices raised by $10 it seems, and out of all 4 pages of performances, there are only 15 left (all weekdays towards the end of the run) that aren't sold out. I genuinely think this has a possibility of transferring or extending... thoughts? Even StubHub has $10,000 resell tickets. I have never seen an example of a fandom so energized that propel a show to Broadway? Everything about this situation

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Previews  Jul 31 2018, 09:20:19 PM

I will run down that street screaming about getting bands together just for a comp. I want to see this atrocity in the best way possible: free.

IN THE HEIGHTS Cast Signing  Jul 31 2018, 06:09:31 PM

Did anybody go? Did you see a lot of scalpers?

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 7/29/18  Jul 30 2018, 03:14:11 PM
Gettin the band has a literally $40 average ticket? That's a rush ticket, how awful! Head over Heels and that are going to disappear very soon. Probably Labor or Thanksgiving at the latest

Head Over Heels or Gettin The Band Back...  Jul 30 2018, 02:10:12 PM

So... The show for a small audience of 40 year old rockstar vs the show for Go/Go fans. I say Head over Heels will last longer, although still being a major flop.

I know many people who are seeing head over heels ironically or to see how terrible it is. Apparently there's a drag star in it named peppermint that people are also turning out for. VS gettin the band, which has zero audience. I'll admit I'm far from the target age group, but I haven't heard any buzz about it

In summary if you're too lazy to read the thread: Good show for a fun time until it's fanbase gets to the door.
I do think that the first preview may have been the reason for all of the chaos, considering everybody else here didn't have that issue.
As for the show. The set is a solid duplicate of Dear Evan Hansen, with 3 moving screens and it starts with a bed with an apple laptop on it. And the similarities continue (minus the school, which I think was a lot better). Also the costumes

If your mom is still forbidding you from life as a person in the mid-20s, it's time to move out.

Most creative/interesting curtain calls you've seen?  Jul 28 2018, 06:56:29 PM

Spongebob! In my second they had a bubble blaster, orchestra has streamers and beach balls and the balcony got bubbles too! I loved it, it was so much fun and not only that but everybody did a bow and had a dance party. Slater did a worm, and everybody just looked like they had so much fun and were having a blast.

I'm trying not to make it be. I apologise to everybody that can't understand my posts. My main point was: the fandom had influenced the book by forcing their pairing of couples they wante

Not sure that helped. Doesn't a show... exist, and you go see it and that's what happens? The fandom has to rally around the actual show and what actually happens in it, no?

Not too concerned, as I have a friend in the show, so I was going either way. Now I just hope there is a backstage area where they can greet guests and not tell us to wait in the lobby. Be More Chill Off-Broadway  Jul 27 2018, 02:43:44 AM

I'm so tired everything is a bit trippy. Each ship the fandom wanted ended up being one-sided (besides all involving Jake or the girls.)

And Tumblr is already hard on their bootleg game. This person either has a strong memory or a boot of some kind.
