I'm almost positive that its closing in September won't be the end of it. I would be astounded if it actually transferred to Broadway, but I'm pretty sure it's either going to extend, or move somewhere that could house it for a year or two. Once the fan hype fizzles out, which it seems to have done a little bit already, it's not going to last. This isn't drawing in many adults

Good luck! I'd say that there were around 16 SRO spots along the back. I think probably 3 of those were lotto. As long as you're close to the front you should be good

For those wondering - it was standing room. I did get the first two slots though, so I assume all the lotto seats are standing. Great show though - Michael Lee Brown had to step in for Taylor halfway through Act 1 which was interesting

The fans are definitely not enough to push this to Broadway. I feel like this could be an off-Broadway mainstay sort of thing like Avenue Q, but it doesn't have that widening appeal. And they're currently playing in a 294 seat theater. I can't imagine it ever bumping up to something with 1000+ seats since a lot of the scenes focus their attention on 1-2 characters. And none of the characters have a big stage presence.

TPTGW had a super easy rush when I went on a saturday - I just popped in right when the BO opened. The seats were $45 and I ended up with phenomenal 6th row orchestra seats
To those who are saying they don't advertise Marilu Henner, they do. I see plenty of ads on instagram/youtube for GTTBT the end off with something along the lines of "and a cast you haven't heard of" and then Marilu yells something.
They wouldn't be advertising a someone in a show unless they're the lead tbh. Marilu is recognizable but she really shouldn't be the draw to the show. Unfortunately it looks like she may be the only one
