Little Shop of Horrors  Oct 25 2018, 01:34:39 PM

Did anyone attend last night? I was hoping to hear some thoughts, but maybe most people are going to later performances.

2 Phantom lotto tix for sale (9/25 7pm)  Sep 25 2018, 12:42:38 PM

I won the Phantom lottery today and unfortunately cannot use the tickets due to a fam emergency. I have 2 tickets that I need to sell ($40 each - face value). The performance is at 7pm. The seats should be in the first or second row of the orchestra.

I'm not sure if I'm able to transfer lottery tickets to another name at the box office, but I can give you the name that they are under (I've won a few times before and they have never checked ID for name). Or, if you are u

Would Jesse Eisenberg be a big enough name for a Parade Revival?  Sep 19 2018, 07:49:56 PM
Agreed about the Ford’s Theatre production - Euan Morton was great! I’ve often thought about a revival with Carmen Cusack and Bryce Pinkham.

Passion at Signature Theatre  Aug 20 2018, 10:12:41 AM

I saw this production last week and enjoyed it very much. The CSC production was one of my favorite revivals of all time, so admittedly it was difficult for me not to compare. Natascia Diaz was amazing. All of her songs were beautifully performed. Her voice is perfect for this role (notably powerful at certain points) and her interpretation was very unambiguous in intent - purer and less acerbic than I’ve seen it played before, which was heartbreaking to watch. Steffanie Leigh was a lov

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Reviews  Aug 17 2018, 12:23:40 AM

Of course when he “puts it back up” on didhelikeit it’s, once again, not featured on the homepage and can only be found in the crowded, micro-text list at the bottom. Absolutely pathetic.

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Reviews  Aug 14 2018, 10:13:23 PM
Late to the convo here, but agree wholeheartedly with anyone who thinks it’s slimy and pathetic that GTBBT is now nowhere to be found on DidHeLikeIt.

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Reviews  Aug 14 2018, 09:26:41 AM
I’m glad that Jesse Green called out the fake break in character to garner laughs (among MANY other things). Also, on Didhelikeit, it appears they chose NOT to feature the reviews on the homepage as they’ve done for every other show. Instead you have to scroll to the bottom where in the long list of shows in TINY font you can find it... annoying... I wish they’d be fair and post a thumbs down like they have for anything else that got a bad times review. Maybe they’ll put it up today? Doesn’t see

GETTIN' THE BAND BACK TOGETHER Previews  Aug 8 2018, 09:42:46 AM

I went last night for free and thought it was anti-funny, cliche ridden, full of tired and ripped off jokes and caricatures, and just overall embarrassing. Not to mention, I felt that MANY of the laughs/moments of applause are manipulated and forced.

I can't lie - there were plenty of people around me who were laughing and seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is great for them. I suppose the experience of live theater is always exciting and I'm sure that

Lempicka at WTF  Jul 30 2018, 12:30:42 PM

Prefacing this rave with the understanding that, as with any piece in development, there is still work to be done... but I saw this yesterday (7/30) and was totally amazed. I can't stop thinking about it and would definitely encourage anyone at a reasonable distance to spontaneously make a trip and catch one of the final performances. My boyfriend and I had to return to NYC yesterday evening, but we're turning around after work today and heading back to Williamstown to see i

Selling - Harry Potter pts 1&2, 6/6/18, face value  Jun 5 2018, 09:39:28 AM

I have tickets for parts 1 and 2 of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for tomorrow (6/6, 2pm/7:30pm) - 2 tickets for each part that I am no longer able to use. The seats are in the second row of the dress circle (B10, B12) and I am selling them at face value ($850 total). Please PM me if you are interested - - would just like to exchange some basic info for security purposes. Thanks!

Any word on the box seats? I’m thinking about buying box, but I’m concerned about sightlines.

Onstage Blog: Casting Actors With A  Apr 26 2018, 12:44:03 PM

I’ve always found this blog to be sloppy and erroneous. Also, the content/tone gives me the impression the writer cares way more about getting traffic and attention than reporting anything helpful or truly insightful. To be honest, I’ve wondered if Onstage blog makes threads on here about their own articles just to stir the pot and get attention (not implying this one is). I think Peterson’s “reporting” (really just blogging) is often tox

Iceman Cometh Rush Reports  Apr 11 2018, 08:38:17 PM
No complaints! All we missed were some entrances/exits down a staircase, but nothing too significant. We were second row all the way to the side and loved it. 3hr 50min flew by!

Eliminate a show for me.  Apr 10 2018, 11:50:11 AM

I saw all three and would eliminate Carousel. Maybe it has improved in the past two weeks, so please take this with a "preview period" grain of salt, but I found it to be mostly dull and disappointing apart from the choreography. I've enjoyed Carousel in the past, but the direction of this revival kept me completely unemotional and I found the caliber of performances to be more inconsistent than most shows I've seen.

Frozen has its downsides but, honestly, even i

Iceman Cometh Rush Reports  Apr 10 2018, 10:55:14 AM

I just rushed - showed up a little after 10 am and there had only been four people before me. The box office offered $40 far side mezz (partial view) or $59 (limited view) in the third row. I went with the $59 to be close up... but now I'm remembering I sat front/far house left for Once and had a very difficult time seeing - less because of the proscenium and more because when actors would stand/sit anywhere near our side of the stage, it blocked most of the action. Hopefully this wo

Next WICKED Cast  Mar 25 2018, 09:29:34 PM

Does anyone happen to know if there is a set schedule for Jackie Burns/Laurel Harris? I didn’t think there was an alternate schedule for Elphabas, but I saw on twitter that Jackie said she is performing all night shows for the month of March. Does anyone know if this means she will not be in matinees? I was hoping to see her on a wed matinee but would be glad to see Laurel too.

MY FAIR LADY (2018) Previews  Mar 17 2018, 09:55:57 AM

Would someone who attended already be able to tell me about the sight lines from the 500 section for this production? Right now I have tickets for row F on the aisle (501 and 502), but I've been given the option to switch to 100 or the lodge. Based on what someone said about the set, I'm wondering if it would be better to sit elsewhere. But if it doesn't make too much of a difference, I won't bother. Thanks in advance for any help!
