Can confirm that Row I is the first row of the orchestra that sits higher than all of the rows in front of it. I am in I108, dead center with an absolutely perfect view, no heads at all blocking the way, and the mezzanine overhang begins one row behind me when I look straight up. There’s a LARGE group of school kids here, estimated to be around 200+, and they are all in the rear mezzanine. Sooooo glad about that.

Out in front of The Booth now, been taking pics of some of the new marquees for my album. Was disappointed that they took the huge GARY poster off of the wall over the main theater entrance. Must be updating the names?
MegaBus leaves in an hour and arrives in NYC just before 7am. It’s going to be a marathon trip. This time tomorrow it’ll be history for me having seen KINKY BOOTS and the original THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Looking forward to both shows!

The absolute highlight of tonight’s announcement event was that they had flown in five members of the band from The Band’s Visit to perform. They did several pieces and then an ad lib with the audience clapping in rhythm to the beat of the drummer doing a solo.
Wonderful evening with Tim Rice and Jimmy Buffet making pre-taped appearances, and several guest singers performing songs from each of the shows.

So, best case scenario is that I can get my tickets from the Lincoln Center TKTS for Gary at the Booth (or TheCherShow, which ever one is better, not sure) and Tootsie at the same time for the Friday night and Saturday Matinee shows respectively, then go to Times Square Saturday for my Beetlejuice ticket. Very exciting!!!

For the Friday I arrive into NYC it’ll be very late in the afternoon, and getting up to The Lincoln Center may be a little tight in my scheduling after hotel check-in around 6pm in the Chelsea part of town. Just depends on the timing of that. But right now it looks like it may be my best option to score two tickets at one stop.
