We did the Saturday matinee of Labor Day Weekend - got there between 8-8:30, and there was only one person in line. More trickled in, but a lot were trying to buy regular tickets. The box office dealt with that until they had the official word of how many SRO they had, and they sold 9 to the line around 10:25.
I have a feeling this could pop up at the Muny in 2020 or 2021...

I had a $25 H18, but I was able to scoot over to H14. I think the two seats made a difference, but even there I missed half the supertitles and probably three scenes of “offstage” actors. I don’t think I missed any action, thankfully, but it is blocked such that from either far side you are watching the backs of heads fairly frequently.

I remember the box seats being an atrocious view for The Color Purple. Not sure for this one.
I bought H18 for 9/4 for $25 - will report back.
MOULIN ROUGE SRO UPDATES Aug 9

Then I guess take what the box office says with a grain of salt... she very clearly told me at 6 pm they would not be doing them that night, and not to bother coming back to check.
Side note - someone involved with The True from The New Group hinted that it was looking to transfer, but that's before Edie Falco booked her new LAPD show. So maybe still for late spring or summer 2020?
I was at the first preview, and I pretty much loved it. Yes, a few moments made me think twice about rape culture, but I think Michael's character grew over the course of the play. Yes, the laughter was generous, but on my end, it was so enjoyable seeing these two brilliant actors squeezing every drop from McNally's great dialogue that it was sincere.
Got there at about 9:20 on Saturday. Was approximately 30th in line. No one else got behind me until about 9:30, and then a whole bunch appeared. I believe I got 2 of the last 4 SRO for the matinee, and I believe there were still obstructed view available for the evening.
